Still a fuzzy situation on what happened to Lochte and the others.

Meanwhile is the police investigating the ones who dressed as police? Where were the American swimmers that woulf make them appear to have to fabricate a story like this. Just say you got robbed if you were at a seedy place and call it a day.

Ryan Lochte LIED just like I knew all along. Matt Lauer and all of these other reporters kept trying to defend this idiot and now, they ALL look stupid.

Best thing I can figure out is that they got drunk at the French place and then told their cab to stop at the gas station because they had to piss. Then they are getting antsy needing to piss and one of them kicks the door in. An argument ensues and the security for the gas station is shown on camera telling the idiots to sit on the curb and all that.

End result, Lochte is an ass and his douchebag swimming friends are weak. They didn't anything all that bad and his story kind of makes sense but is wrong. This whole thing didn't even need to be discussed with anyone and we would never have known. It was a basic non-issue if they just made it right with the gas station for kicking in the door.

But no. Lochte's attention whoring ass needs to get in front of the cameras because he's perpetually mad that he can't beat Michael Phelps. And now America looks like a bunch of pretentious white fraternity kids to the rest of the world. Way to go. The part that pisses me off the most was that this was all over something so simple. The actual truth wouldn't have been repeated twice because it's meh.

At least that's what I think so far. Who knows when the actual stories come out. Regardless, he's a dumbass.

Young people in a foreign country and alcohol is not a good mixture.  Saw this a number of times while I was in the Navy, and apparently being an Olympic athlete doesn't make one  any smarter than some of those young sailors.  Just hate to see the US take a black eye when our athletes have been performing so well.

Man, this is embarassing.   I guess he thought they could get in trouble for what they did and he made up some story like that because, everyone just assumes someone has to get robbed in Rio, right?    He should have just shut up and let it go, as I bet Rio wanted.

But with all the heat and stuff Rio got years and months before the games, about how dangerous it is, they wasn't going to let it slide after he lied and I don't blame them.

His best defense would be to say he was really drunk and that's the story he remembered and obviously it wasn't true lol.

No better example of how a single, at the time seemingly unimportant decision can literally fug up the rest of your life.
