Fox's Defense, no matter who the DC is?

Could it be that Turdo wasn't so bad last year? idk, but I do know that the defense that gave up 30+ a game half of last season is picking up where it left off. The only difference is the zone defense. What I don't get is how we are 3rd in the league in pass yards allowed per game, but 28th against the run. Looks just like the Colts Defense in previous years, you know the team that usually won despite their Defense instead of because of it--Ron Meeks. So which is it?

Our De fence is different this year then last. If you cant see that then your just an avg fan that knows nothing about football. We played Cover 2 the majority of the game and it relies on getting pressure with the Front 4. The differences is that we played bump and run and Tampa 2 at some points. Still if our guys dont get to the QB that allows the WRs and TEs to sit in the soft spots in the zone. Thats exactly what happened and thats why we lost. Trgo was more a fav of zone blitzs that rush 4 and while they are effective if you dont time them right you get burnt. Really all it falls down to is we have a crappy Dline....... Peppers cant even beat one man now and Lewis and Brayton do not scare anyone. Brown is still young and lacks power to get around Defenders and Johnson while strong still cant manage to beat his man. Take it how you want but thats the Problem. Has been for 3 years now.

The system is different. But the result is the same.

    • Canales was brought in to fix Bryce. That was how he sold himself. He failed.  the panthers need a new qb, someone to coach him, and someone to build a defensive staff.  Canales has failed at developing a new qb. His big draft project XL is trending towards bust. His entire nfl resume before the panthers was one season as offensive coordinator on a stacked Bucs team, and being on the offensive staff when a 31 year old Geno smith finally put it all together. And he didn’t even pick his offensive coordinator. Assuming evero is gone, who’s he got in that phone to call? What low lvl porn addict evangelical from the bucs is ready to be Peter principled? There is nothing in his coaching history or his current performance that indicates he’s the person to move this team forward. Every other team knew this last cycle (panthers were only interview) and nothing has happened to change that perception   all people like you have is “well you can’t do it again it’s too soon but <random interval of time> will be different.  just pull off the bandage. There’s no reason to let this guy draft “his guy” except people wanting an excuse not to fire him after 2025.
    • Both Reich and Canales were saddled with trying to build and establish a viable scoring offense around Bryce Young. The best the offense looked this season and last season was with Andy Dalton who is also terrible but still better than Bryce Young. Which should be all anyone needs to know but still somehow there are weirdos here salivating over a ceiling of maybe on a really good day the 25th best QB in the league. We've already canned one entire staff over our first overall pick. You can fire everyone again to satisfy your need for vengeance and quickly come to the realization that your next hire will absolutely unequivocally be a downgrade yes man or you can blow up this QB room and then assess. If no progress next season then you can make changes and justifiably so.
    • Surprised this is the only post with this take.  This is like the Rhule kiss of death lol.
