no no no son, don't get it twisted. I am all for bad threads if it's panther related.

this thread is even titled "NOT PANTHER RELATED" in yet it is in the main forum section for no fugging reason.

I can barely visit the huddle anymore becuase 50% of the threads are this kid posting about back up players from other teams getting injured or retiring.

I know you boys weren't around back in the day but this poo use to not fly. get this BS out of here so we can actually talk about the panthers.

nobody gives a fug about some no name on the bills getting turf toe.

I stopped reading at the word "twisted"

Then leave. The majority of us don't want to read through three pages of your bitch fit because you hold some sort of vendetta against an online persona you've never met. Grow up.

The majority of us don't mind an NFL injuries thread in the Panthers forum while the season hasn't even started. (Hell, even when it has)

So, back to business

Here's what I remember has happened to our 2016 scheduled opponents

AFC West

Donkey CB Aqib Talib did a Plaxico Burress and shot hisself in the leg inside a club. Ready by opening night? Hmmmmm

NFC West

Forty-Whiner RT Anthony Davis un-retired just before camp started. Might be rusty in week 2. Also, their 1st round pick RG Joshua Garnett wasn't signed until just before camp started. Chemistry between him and Davis might not be good in week 2

Seachicken DE Chris Clemmons retired the day before camp started. Poor timing for them = good timing for us

Lambs moved halfway across the country and are breaking in a rookie QB

Other NFC division winners

Washington Racial Slur OLB Junior Gallette tore up his other Achilles tendon. Out for year. Less pressure on Cam

ViQueens RB Adrian Peterson's vacated sentence of a 6 game suspension was reversed today. Our week 3 opponent will be without their big gun. Eighth circuit court reversed a lower court's decision to vacate his 6 game suspension

Peterson won't miss any games, per multiple sources. Bottom of article.

Just like a contract, I didn't read the very last line. Oh well. At least ViQueen RT Phil Loadholt retired 3 days before camp started, and FS Harrison Smith's 5 year $51 million extension makes it harder for the Taints to re-sign Kenny Vaccaro in 2018

Supposedly TEs Sheids and Cotton tore their ACL's on back to back plays for the Seahawks.

PFT saying each suffered an Achilles injury. No word about severity of either one yet. Cottom was the favorite to earn the FB spot

That reminds me. Wonder how Jim-may Graham's injury is progressing

    • Your thoughts? I don't think the trade up or even down value system stays exactly in place this year. Look at all the bad trades that hurt teams that give away too much (49ers for Lance, even us w/the Bears set us back). What trade up except Mahomes/KC was it really a great trade for the team giving up a lot? Same with trading down. Teams will know you don't want to pick and they won't be giving the store to move up because there is not a generational talent to do that for. Now, I believe these possibilities.  The Giants probably won't take QB-Sanders at 3, it's too much pressure if it doesn't work. They don't really need another edge rusher with Carter. I can see them possibly saving face, trade down to even the Panthers at 8 but not asking for a kings ransom. A 1st round swap, a 3rd and 4th and maybe next years 2nd and 4th could be enough without giving up too much. The Giants save in pay and in public opinion and then they can take Sanders or even another QB. For the Panthers to drop down, it has to mean their top 3 picks are not there. Do they take TE-Warren if he drops in their lap at 8 (I do like that)? I believe they would love to drop back but again I don't think teams will pay a lot to move up unless they want a QB before the Saints (our only hope for a good value).  I'm not picking a player, just thinking of the draft in general and value. Reaching doesn't work and more and more teams are realizing that.
    • With the new DL, we should be better at edge by simple addition.   What player would have the biggest impact on the Panthers?  I still see the plan to trade back and take Emmanwori if we can find a trade partner.  Why, you ask?  S is a huge need and they have really only looked at 1 visits/meetings.  We will try to trade up for Princely in the second.  A WR in the third  (Bech or Noel).
