Bang for the buck?

Mathieu = 5 years, $62 mill

Coleman = 3 years, $17 mill

Id say so, yes.

Obviously Honey Badger is a special talent and much more superior and a play maker, but dollar per dollar we also have very solid saftey play out of coleman for much cheaper.

Good investment for the Cardinals.  They have to be "all-in" this year.  Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald are near the end of the road.  They're also going to have to figure out how to extend Chandler Jones.

We are in a truly enviable position right now where we don't have to be "all-in" b/c of a short window.  Cam & Luke still have many years left (injuries notwithstanding).  We really are on-par with Seattle & Green Bay to be in a position to compete for the NFC over the next 5-7 years.

We don't have to make desperation moves either that could handicap the team down the road like the Saints or Cowboys.  It's hard to believe looking back on 2010 we would be here.

Now just need to get that first Super Bowl Ring

Yep...

Honeybadger's best season, 14 games, 5 interceptions (1 TD), 80 solo tackles (9 assists), 1 sack

Coleman's best season, 15 games, 7 interceptions (1 TD), 53 solo tackles (35 assists), 1 sack

Seattle is not in our league.  Earl Thomas in 2010 and Ifedi, the last pick of the 1st this year, are their only 1st rounders this decade still on the roster.  You can't go half a decade in a salary cap era NFL without getting impact in the 1st round and expect not to fade.
