Running Backs Update

Here is an update on how the RB depth chart is shaping up....

In short, it goes Stew-> CAP -> Fozzy -> Wegher -> Simmons

I feel Wegher and Fozzy are in competition for that third spot as the change of pace back. CAP is safe as a more physical runner.

I got to ask.  Why haven't they given Wegher a chance with the 1st team offense.  How do you segregate two running backs if only one is running with the ones.   It seems that CAP is the real deal, I cannot help but wonder why Wegher isn't getting a chance behind the #1s.

Its looking less and less likely Wegher is going to make this roster unless someone goes down.

I really feel like he still has a chance, but it will take an amazing preseason performance.

I'm rooting for Wegher. I don't think ice ever said this before, but I'm really looking forward to preseason.

How's Daryl Williams doing?  Has he played better than Remmers?  Please for the love of God tell me he has.

Don't we usually carry an inactive RB or 2? If it's not Wegher who is it?

Without having a premiere runner, the o-line is more important than ever.  What we have is "good enough" as long as the Mollies do their job.  With that said, I can't help but pull for Wegher.

He had a fantastic preseason last year and we never saw him again.

There's only aneed incomplate handful of premier rbs in existence.  Our Pro Bowl guy isn't too shabby.

I feel if we saw Wegher get some serious work with the first team in preseason we would see a special production. He needs a chance

From your mouth to coach's ears. Really, there is no reason NOT to give him some first team reps in preseason. It isn't like the game counts, and Stew will need the rest.
