Many people keep bumping his threads, and he's one of the most important people in the league http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2016/06/27/nfls-100-most-important-people/86423006/

LOL...one of the most important people in the league.  That's good.  He is behind the Draft King's CEO, Matthew Berry, Ted Wells,  the Brown's VP, etc.

The biggest point was not that he beat Fisher, it was that he did it in front of our black, blue, and white clad fans after the incident that he's since served 21 games for.  But that's not all-it was a nationally televised night game to boot...with zero outrage.

There is no being behind here.  Even a monkey can peel back the banana and see the facts.  I for one support our player of five years who helped establish a winning culture and lay the foundation to greatness, and more importantly his teammates and coaches that pleaded for his return.  Most importantly in the salary cap era, I salivate over the value/bang for buck/need that he would currently give (he still only just turned 28 after all).  The man that matters, our owner, is unlikely to buckle, instead taking the side of the other 31, and the PC and drive-by media crowd.  Doesn't change the facts or anyone's right to their opinion based on facts.

Huh?  you confusing him w/ Cam

Not in the slightest.  I said helped.  In 2012 this game set the tone for 2013 after the most maddening loss in franchise history at their place

In 2013 there is no NFCS title without this man.  Period.

And in 2014 he was there WITHOUT Cam in pads as we won a close, ROAD DIVISIONAL GAME with our backup QB, and ended up winning the division by .5 game.

in 2013 we had Cam and Luke ( as well as others).....so there certainly could have been a NFCS title without that man.  Which they did the next 2 years without him.

You don't simply take away his production in games and say boom that means a loss in game X because everything else doesn't stay the same.  Games, dynamics and season all goes different if a player is removed from the equation.  And as we have seen, life here has gone just fine without him....because he have true great players on both sides of the ball.

Hardy was a great talent.  His window here is done.  Simple and plain.

Since he has left, we have gone to the postseason consecutive years, won the division every year, and gone to the Super Bowl.   He departed and we kept ascending.

Talent alone isn't enough.  You can lose talent and get better.

If you think there's even a chance we win the NFCS in 2013 without him I don't know what to tell you.  He wasn't just X player in X game(s), that team had more sacks than any team since the 80's Bears, and he was the biggest reason.

Of course you can lose talent and get better (see KB)...if you have the greatest 27 year old talent in the history of team sports, healthy, and ascending as Cam is, as I've predicted for years here, even after the 2013 Cardinals game and 1-3 start.

Hardy Jr's presence on the 2016 team would be all time untouchable great.  It's a shame it's unlikely to happen, but that doesn't change the fact Hardy's story (no matter what happens) forges on and is unprecedented.

(and the Panthers DE situation remains in question)

There is definitely a chance.  Again, as you said, that TEAM had more sacks than the 80s Bears.   That team generated good defense during the many games Hardy was non-existent as well.  You forget that convenient fact....the fact Hardy was basically what people complained of about Peppers.  That he would go games and you didn't even know he was playing.  Hardy had a great year, but he also accumulated that awesome stat line in a handful of games.

By all reports, since 89, Hardy and the likes left.....our always great lockeroom chemistry has reportedly reached even higher heights.  We ended up in a Super Bowl.

Playing DE in this league is hard (pun not intended).  There's a reason the premium and value is so high.  With this defense at age 28 there's no sane reason he wouldn't equal or surpass his All-Pro production the last time the league actually let him play the whole year.  But, worst case, even nearly decapitating Brady, intercepting Wilson, having 32 pressures, allowing a teammate to have a career high in sacks, and adding 6 sacks of his own in 12 games would be nice for this team.

To have such glowing "raw" remarks during Super Bowl week itself, I'll just refer to TD and CJ among others again on the other stuff http://nypost.com/2016/02/03/panthers-paint-rosy-picture-of-accused-abuser-greg-hardy/

Oh well.

Also, regarding Peppers vs Hardy Jr, no comparison.  Peppers openly didn't want to be here, Hardy Jr openly did.  Peppers would get lost against no name OTs, Hardy Jr at least would wait for a premier OT.  Effort was always a question with one, never a question with the other.
