again, Vick did worse and gave recently the blueprint.  And again, even Rice followed it but he just is an old RB.  Hardy opted to act foolishly.   If he simply kept his mouth shut and played football...said the right things he would have a deal.  So that makes Hardy's present situation Hardy's fault

The alleged victim took the money and ran, the judge finagled her way onto the case for political and personal gain, and the entire thing was thrown out.  If that's not a joke I don't know what is.

Last season, Hardy looked like he put back on a lot of the weight he lost before he truly became an elite pass rusher. So far both the Jags and Skins have worked him out and decided to look elsewhere, wonder if he's still carrying the weight and it's affected his workouts? A guy with his rep is going to have to be in perfect shape and blow people away with his talent.

We are talking NFL football in 2016.  Redemption starts with the public perception

Hardy in order to play for teams, Hardy had to do a certain level of PR work.  He failed to do it and didn't care to.  His fault.  If he followed the blueprint that Vick and others had.....he would have had plenty of teams interested in him.

again, none of that matters at this point.  It was what it was.....and post all of "that", Hardy played it as poorly as it could of been played.   Which is why he is where he is now.

Hardy isn't a victim.  He had a hand in getting into the incident (and that doesn't remove fault from the other parties).  He had total control of how he handled himself post incident...

if anyone thinks Hardy or that chick were totally innocent....I got some beachfront property in Charlotte I'd like to talk to you about.

again, this is the NFL.....you can commit almost any crime and as long as you aren't in prison and get a job.  Hardy was given the standard we don't really care just do X and Y and you can be a NFL player again.

The guy says stuff. That's what he's done since that incident. Should he have gone full Tony Blaire and cry publicly? I don't know.

The punishment and banishment doesn't fit the perceived, not actual crime. If the guy says things that crack him up inside his own head but leaves others scratching theirs, OK then, give him a gag order, but you can't continue to act childishly.

This city bent over backwards to say they weren't against gays and it didn't help the NBA's and the national perception. Why worry about national perception anymore? They already make stuff up to bash your city so why continue to dance for the media?

You're right, it doesn't matter.  In a salary cap league, winning and losing is solely about finding bang for buck.  Based on ALL we know, he represents the ultimate bang for buck right now in this blood sport we call American Football, a game future generations will likely look back on with the same lense that present day generations look at Roman Gladiators.  The VAST majority of American Football fans are NOT fans of the Carolina Panthers and may even hurl at the thought of Greg Hardy Jr putting on black and blue again.  Screw them.

Couldn't possibly disagree more.  The entire game complexion, game plan, and momentum change if Denver doesn't move the ball with ease on the first drive.  In fact, every play and every game complexion changes when you have different (in this case better) players.  Not only do we win last year with Hardy Jr on a peanuts contract, but maybe even in 2014 as well.  Even with Star out, he would have prevented dangeRuss from going 8-8 on 3rd down in a game that was otherwise very even.  And if you win a playoff game in Seattle against the defending champs on Saturday night, you can win the whole thing.  In 2013 he faced a 1st team All-Pro in his prime, Joe Staley, and it's one of the multiple reasons we lost that game.  But we were a better defense with him, and got lucky in multiple games last year blowing so many leads.  He changes things in a BIG way.
