Redskins discussing bringing in Hardy

It's amazing at how fast a source from the team will quickly dispel their interest in Greg Hardy after a report stating that they are discussing him as a option.

Would be an interesting case study to know how many of those sources have the first clue who Rebecca Thorne Tin is.  My guess-zero.

String of injuries and body falling apart? Last year was the first year since he's been a starter that he missed more than 2 games. The 5 previous years he missed 3 combined games. Did you watch the playoffs? He sure didn't look done to me.

I'm not acting. I think for 2016, we are good at DE with CJ, Ealy, Addison and the young guys. I think CJ is gone for the highest $$$ final contract and we'll likely go DE early in 2017 where the draft seems deep.

Don't take it personal, I'm talking about the organization acting like they're OK, not you. My opinion stands that they don't have quality depth at one of the most vital positions in football .

Although he may have technically been on the field his performance the past couple years has been excused because of nagging injuries. Nobody can deny that.

Good, not great player when healthy, but he hasn't been completely healthy for a while.

They can bargain basement and "young guy" at DE all they want but they will not get far without making an investment in a elite level talent.

Add a young secondary into that equation and it could be a very unfavorable result on D.

If they actually believed in Addison and the young ones why didn't they forego renting Jared Allen? Why? Because they were in win now mode and the young guys were mostly situational pass rushers and couldn't be depended on to stop the run.

It's amazing to think there's a very strong chance Hardy is done in the NFL.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy to think a talent like that may never play again.  He did himself no favors with the way he handled it, though.

Who will be willing to man up and say they were off base when at least one out of Miley, Delaire and Cox rises up?

As for Hardy, no way J-Rich allows him to return after his teary-eyed performance and near blubbering about the Panthers' (his) stance on domestic violence. That would be akin to hypocrisy, notwithstanding the nebulousness surrounding the entire unsavory situation, and a slap in the face against the old fart's sensibilities.

Miley, Delaire, and Cox can all make plays and be fine pieces to round out an NFL roster.  I don't think any will prevent the unit from being a fringe top 5 unit.  It's not impossible that the unit is even #1 overall considering the garbage QBs on tap.  But it's Super Bowl or bust and obviously none of the above are in the stratosphere of Greg Hardy Jr as football players.

The same day of JR's waterworks, Hardy Jr was allowed to meet with his lawyers and remain on the active roster.  After that, his sitting for 21 games was longer than any non-life suspension in the history of JR's precious shield.

They might tear apart by mid-season and may just be desperate, but it d@mn sure isn't because they're considering a former All-Pro DE in his physical prime.  As the PFT article says, Norman (like most current and former Panthers) vouch for the guy.  http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/07/26/report-washington-has-discussed-adding-greg-hardy/

Exhibit A of the hypocritical insanity of this multi-billion dollar cut throat business.  Very little relative stink was even made in our nation's capital, liberal bastion, and media Mecca, when Junior Galette signed and was RE-signed.  Fans and media throw stones in glass houses.

Thanks for your continued input, Mr. Rosenhaus.

This won't work... Free agents and Washington don't work... Josh Norman for 16 mil per won't work... I don't get why everyone thinks it will work... Also fans of Greg Hardy after what he did are complete utter trash. Dude threw a girl on a bed of machine guns, beat the piss out of her, and threatened to kill her... Yet you can sit here and type how badly you want him in Carolina, the guy is a piece of dirt. I would take Jared Allen falling on his face every snap over that piece of poo.
