Redskins discussing bringing in Hardy

There is no bigger feeding frenzy, good and bad, than Dallas.  Hardy Jr himself stated that the bright lights of the Cowboys and Big D were far more than he imagined and there was indeed a huge difference from CLT.  He was only 27.  The Cowboys do have brighter lights than all other teams and the media is enough to drive even a sane man insane.  Hardy Jr did not do or say anything more controversial than thousands of other players, coaches, and world leaders at the highest level haven't throughout history.

Hardy certainly did do and say more controversial things than the many players that often find themselves in need of a little redemption.  That is the scary part of Hardy.  You can't trust what he will do.

Hardy had a blueprint to follow and a fairly easy one at that.  If he did that, he would have a multi year deal right now with someone.

Yeah, I get Dallas is a different beast than Charlotte.  Fact remains, pressure was on Hardy to be behaved for 1 year.  Keep his head down and just let his play do all the talking.   Maybe say a couple PR friendly things.  Follow the Vick 101 Blueprint.   Not that hard.   He failed at that miserable.

Look, I hate Hardy didn't work out.  He was great here.  That was then.  Carolina can't and shouldn't bring him back.

Wait, so Dallas was too much for hardy at 27, but players go there every year at much younger ages and don't act like jackasses.  You are not helping your argument.

But we're not Dallas.  Never have been, never will be, and have no desire to be.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China? My comment was about hardy and him not being able to handle something at 27 that younger players deal with every year without the same problems.

Re-read my post.  I never said he couldn't handle it.  He was their best pass rusher (32 QB hurries) in only 12 games, intercepted Wilson, nearly decapitated Brady, etc.

Hardy's done. I agree with those in here who have said the Hardy in Dallas is why he's not on a team at the moment. He screwed himself, and seriously doubt any team takes a chance on him.

I do feel he is mentally sick, so I hope he's got a close friend who's keeping tabs on him. His actions have gotten football taken away from him. I imagine that will eat at him in the future.

lol

You do know a 27 year old is a full grown man responsible for his own choices and his own behavior, right?

You keep depicting Hardy as this poor, innocent boy who's been done wrong by the world and only wants a chance to go out and be a superstar in football and in charitable acts and giving.

When the facts are he's a full grown-ass man who has only screwed up his OWN life by his OWN actions for over 2 years now and *still* refuses to face up to the things HE has done.  And wants the world to change to accommodate HIM rather than the reality of the other way around.

He has been wronged.  Forced out for longer than anyone in league history for an incident he reported and now never happened in the eyes of the law.  PR poison from a media and/or fans that don't know the facts or see the hypocrisy.  Last year, he neither said nor did anything that Mike Ditka, Charles Barkley, Bob Knight ("if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it"), among multiple others, haven't done on the field of play or since been given microphones to speak for many years in this country's most popular sports and networks.  Everyone from the Pope to Johnny Appleseed past the age of accountability has said or done something that has ruffled the feathers of another at some point.  If Greg Hardy Jr was allowed to play football on the NFC South Champion Carolina Panthers in August/September 2014 on a $13+ million price tag, he d@mn sure should be allowed to play now.

For the guy that said he needed psychological help, there's this, http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/05/12/greg-hardy-informs-teams-of-detailed-counseling-efforts/?utm_network=twitter&utm_post=5734010&utm_source=TW %40NBCSports&utm_tags=srm[football]

As CRA has pointed out, you seem to make a habit of living in the past instead of the present.

In the recent past few months, he's changed his online persona, undergone therapy, went back to college, visited kids in school, ran a football camp, and been brought up in public conversation with the Jaguars and Redskins.  Adam Schefter spoke highly of him before muzzled by his employer and his agent (who dumped another high profile client) says he should be on a team right now.  This is present, not past.

I should know better by now, but I'm shocked this thread is still going.  It was one thing in July, bot now so close to pre-season football, isn't there better stuff to talk about?

Wes Horton, 2nd on the depth chart (and suspended last year) wasn't in a cast in July.
