Because he is in image rehabilitation mode. I'm not saying that it isn't something illegal or that it is in his best interest to be posting these videos. I am saying that unless he fails a drug test, it doesn't matter what is done or said in the video because you have no proof. You can jump on the witch hunt bandwagon, seeking out anyone you believe to be doing something wrong without the concrete proof that is often desired, but I prefer to er on the side of caution. Until news breaks of Aldon failing a drug test, much like Josh Gordon, I won't accuse him of being anything more than immature, at best, or one of the more idiotic players currently in and out of the NFL.

Cigarettes aren't normally rolled in a dutch....

I agree that we don't need to chastise the guy until he fails a test, but it's pretty clear that it's not a cigarette.  Even if it is something synthetic that isn't technically illegal, he's a moron for posting it.  It was going to bring negative attention no matter what.

I'm not defending Aldon Smith the person. I'm defending the integrity of the use of actual evidence to support calling someone stupid, moronic, idiotic, etc. If it comes out that an investigation is completed and a drug test taken that comes out negative, this thread will disappear as if all of the people who enjoy jumping to conclusions never said anything. 

There are just a few grievances I have with his behavior and also some with the behavior of people in general when it comes to jumping to conclusions without the facts to support said conclusions.

Moronic indeed. It would be similar to Greg Hardy posting more videos driving 100+ miles per hour and posting himself out at clubs. Ultimately, it shows a pattern of poor judgement more than anything. For his sake and for a lesson in humility to those who love to hate people, I hope he pisses clean.
