Man, once again, it's our inability to hide what we're doing pre-snap. The most embarassing was that TD pass to Gonzo when he ran in a straight line until he got about a yard behind the LBs who were taking their sweet ass time dropping back into coverage, then he cut in like a post route, BAM! TD.

I was like, it's that easy?

When they showed the replay, it was painfully obvious that we were running a very soft cover 2, and our LBs all dropped back at the same depth, and took a year to do so... It looked like a game of Madden where someone exploits glitches in the game. They didn't even move, or react to anything. No variation in their depth, alignment, anything. I was really embarassed watching it.

And on top of that, I believe they had gotten down there b/c the previous play was a pass right into the gap between the safety and corner. With Godfrey looking like a douchebag and clearly showing by his reaction he had blown his assignment.

I think Godfrey is having trouble seeing the plays unfold. He should've been there to disrupt the Gonzalez TD. Davis should have stopped it underneath and scored a pick as well but he wasn't on the ball when it came to sticking to Gonzalez like glue.

The Colts didn't have a particularly good defense under Meeks either. The scheme does indeed suck. But he's conservative, which is important to us apparently.

Conservative? The Panthers tried to blitz a lot yesterday. Unfortunately, they didn't get to Ryan a single time. The scheme of Meeks/Fox sucks. I don't think conservative vs blitzing is the issue at all.
