Are we all talking about the late pass that was thrown too far inside on an out route? The DB was cutting toward the ball before it was even released. He was just reading the QBs eyes and the ball was thrown too far inside. You can hardly blame Smitty for that. He had 3 feet of real estate left.

Look Steve Smith KNEW where he was and where that defender was who intercepted it. Smith, instead of just floating there waiting for the ball, should have turned and ran TO the ball to catch it. The defender was right behind him , waiting for the ball.

Both steve and jake are aging but on the interception steve has to go get that ball in one on one coverage. However, Jake should have thrown it more towards the sideline. I think steve is still an elite receiver but he may have to adjust his style slightly
