"PFF: Panthers worst secondary in NFL"

Recommended Posts

I thought PFF was probably correct in their assessment of the Panthers' secondary, but I didn't think it would be this glaring thanks to our non-existent pass rush.  should have kinda known something was up when they cut CJ and then signed him for cheap like two days later.  in hindsight that's not what happens to solid, starting caliber players in the NFL.  then again, pulling franchise tag on best CB in football a week from the draft doesn't happen either.  good god just thinking about gentleman right now makes me wanna beat the walls down.

It blows my mind, statistically speaking by yards ( passing defense ) that we are not the worst in the NFL right now.  By yards, we are actually ranked 27th.  Most of the other ranks in terms of QBR, TD's or YPG we are ranked 25 or below.  Now, this is course is measuring us by our whole defense as a unit....remove some of the coverages by our all pro linebackers...then yes, we probably have the worst secondary in the NFL.

I just do not see how its possible for a passing defense to be worse than ours this season but statistically speaking, there is.  I think the worst part of our defense is, you know we are not going to win games this year when it comes down to the wire.  Hell, we have never really been able to hold teams in the past when we had elite defenses on the field.....always seem to let QB's drive down and score at the last minute.  Close games will be lost every time this year if their offense has the ball at the end.

looking back at this thread, most of hurdlers were totally unprepared for this shitshow the defense has put on so far

Tried to prepare them.

The fact that they wanted to tout the receivers as being good due to Cam, Stewart, Olsen, and the defense (takeaways) last season was even more evidence.

PFF was right about the secondary and the wide receivers.

Just be honest with your team. Give credit where it is due, and be critical of the weaknesses holding the team back. That is your role as a fan of a team - unless you just want to sit in the stands and eat popcorn like it is a movie. It allows for proper discourse that will put the organization on blast. The dialogue from the fans will work its way into the press and the organization. It always does. They want your money, attention, and time. They listen to you and feed you what you want.

If all you want are rainbows and lollipops, then that is what they will give you. If you want to hold a team accountable, then the media will too, and that will pressure the team.

Hand written letters work too. JR reads quite a few of them.

What I find funny in this thread is that the doubters think people dislike them for being negative.

The reason people dislike you is because you really seem to enjoy seeing the team losing because you apparently get some kind of validation from it.

This is what makes you sh--ty fans that we don't like or want as part of our fanbase.
