It seemed to me that ceremony was boycotted by every sport except basketball. Only Rodgers & his Hail Mary WR seemed to be there for the NFL & he looked uncomfortable. Manning no longer counts. 

The ESPY's are a fan vote for the most part. Created, hyped & broadcast by ESPN. And for all of that they had very few sports celebrities in attendance because they kept panning to the same people in the crowd for 2 hours. Except for a few segments it was pretty boring.

The only Espy award that is a joke is their courage award..  which went to Bruce Jenner last year,  and before him,  it went to Michael Sam.   I don't judge their entire award show based on their bad courage awards,  since no sporting awards show should even have a courage award since the display of courage is not the same in everyone's eyes.
