The Carolina Panthers did NOT make the 25 worst collapses in sports history.

the Warriors losing after being up 3-1 is a collapse, biggest one I've witnessed in a while. the Olympic examples are a collapse of team history. US basketball was untouchable, and their loss to USSR in 88, not 92, was definitely considered a collapse of the program.

The Warriors I'll agree. Your other examples were my concern.

i suspect the folks on the soviet side consider it much more of a collapse on their part, over an upset on our part.

they were example of collapse on a program level, not just a single series. the thread title doesn't specify, and I consider program level collapse much more impactful than a single series.

I don't think the Panthers loss is even in the 'collapse' category. To 'collapse' would mean you had a chance to win and let it slip. We played from the behind the entire game. We didn't give our best effort and didn't game plan properly. You can't collapse when you were never in position to win and if memory serves me correctly we never once held a lead in the Super Bowl. Although it wasn't our best performance, I think it's safe to say the 2015-2016 Panthers will probably fade in to eternity and be forgotten by most everybody outside of Carolina.
