How does Cho still have a job?

Wasting my time trying to explain this to people whom cannot be reasoned with.

Starting statement, I believe cho is a average GM. Not great or terrible, just average.

That said he had a great off season. Signing both Batum and Williams to BELOW market value was hugggggggge. Batum could have easily gotten 5 year 155 million, but got "only" 120 mill. Same for Williams, signed on the early larry bird exception, could have easily gotten 15+million. Now after signing those team friendly deals, they only had 10 million in cap space leftd. How on earth do you sign Lin(3yr36mill), Lee(4yr48mill), AL(3yr30mill) ???????? Please explain that all you confused people.

Facts are it was the worst year in the history of the NBA to have free agents. Also Lee(last yr of contract) was traded for, Lin signed a one year deal and AL is AL. They had Batum and Williams are top priority and got them on "friendly" contracts. Another overlooked fact- players do not want money form certain teams. Hornets are not Lakers, nets, or trailblazers bad in terms of getting players to sign deals........ But like cho they fall in the average category. Until AL signed here it was a plauqed team, lucking that's changed some.

If you're an NBA GM and you suck so bad at drafting that you trade away your draft picks, you need to be fired. Drafting is the only way the Hornets will ever be actual contenders.

Drafting at 22 when you weren't a contender to begin with isn't going to all of a sudden make you one though either. Catch 22 (pun intended).

Why, a year later, are all these people saying that the Brooklyn pick was part of the Boston offer when it was widely reported that they did not offer that pick.

Classic "big fish" story that grows with time.

Guarantee that they would have had takers if that pick were part of the package.
