How does Cho still have a job?

i may be wrong but at the time that that offer was made, wasn't it suggested that the picks were heavily protected anyway? i'm sceptical that the brooklyn pick would have not had a top 5/10 protection on it?

in a hypothetical situation, it could be suggested that Kaminsky may still have been available with the #16 pick last year... it was probably unlikely, but i remember at the time being disappointed that we didn't take the offer.

if we had taken the offer, i imagine we would have gone big this year - my choice would have been bender (which would have been a cost effective way of filling the center spot this year, but based upon the amount of minutes we play our rookie's (let alone 19 year old rookies!) i cant see the hornets having the patience, or with respect the ability, to develop him into a starting calibre center

Man, he's not even 19 years old.  He's 18 years old!

I am honestly shocked we have stuck with MKG as long as we have given how young he still is and our track record with dumping young players.

This hurts to read:

"The Hornets would indisputably be in a better spot had they grabbed Boston's offer of four first-rounders, including what turned out to be the No. 3 pick in June's draft, instead of using the No. 9 pick last year on Frank Kaminsky. They flipped the No. 22 pick for Marco Belinelli because they knew another team would blow away Courtney Lee, and wanted a replacement locked into a cost-controlled deal. I'd still rather have the No. 22 pick."

From http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/16992129/rating-won-lost-nba-free-agency-period

I'm rolling with Frank the Tank 100% of the time instead of trading for all of those Boston picks. Frank is much much better than people realize and I think after next season, doubters won't question why we turned that trade down again. If having that many picks is so Valuable then why didn't anyone trade with Boston? Boston wanted Winslow right? I'm sure they made the exact same offer to Miami right before Winslow was picked and clearly Miami didn't take the picks.

Zach Lowe also talks about how well Cho did with retaining Batum and Marvin. Convincing Batum to save us all that money ($30M in total) on a per year basis when other teams were more than willing to offer him the full max was a fantastic play. Convincing Marvin to take $4M less per year than what he could have gotten AND convincing him to sign using his Early Bird Rights and not going into our cap space was a Dave Gettleman type move if I've ever seen one. Having Marvin sign like that is the sole reason we had enough cap to sign Sessions and Hibbert.

So I'm not sure how, based on the whole section of the post dedicated to Charlotte, that you think Cho should be fired. I'm firmly in belief that Cho needs an extension. I thought what he did this free agency period, while not sexy (we were never signing Horford or Durant anyways), was masterful.

if you seriously think richard cho is a good GM, then you deserve this shitty Hornets team. Go root for the Browns too.

He's the best GM in recent Charlotte History.

Drafted Kemba

Signed Al Jefferson

Traded for Nic Batum

He's made some bad moves and some good moves. Who would you suggest to replace him?

I wanted the Panthers to win  Super Bowl 50 still do. Still won't change the outcome the same way you wanted Myles Turner won't change the outcome. I'm sorry for being a truth teller.

Of course he is. Who else? Bickerstaff or Higgins? LMFAO

That's my point. He at least stabilized the team.
