jake forces a pass into tight coverage to smith, INT! what else is new.

he had king wide open on the other side of the field but of course doesn't go through his progressions. he just looks at smith, then throws.

the run game was great. the defense is horrible.

i still say we only win 4 or 5 games with our first chance at a win against washington but most likely not until week 6 against tampa.

Ya Smith was owning Houston right there until the end. We caught a break with that one. It was looking to be one of those games where the last team with the ball was gonna win.

Just gotta say, that route that steve ran was piss poor. He jogged the route, no wonder it got picked (which wasn't bad thing seeing it gave Atlanta worse feild position.

the guy is right king was open,jake had good time stiill he forced it....good enough game for jake to stay under center for now.Defense was our biggest problem along with speacial teams.Pesty fumbles didn't help either along with piss poor coaching the field goal instead of going for it on fourth.D fence did good agaisnt the run,just whenever matt ryan drop back it was over cb's playing 10 yards off on 3rd and 8 is ridiculus,out routes,quick curls killed us.There wasn't any pass rush becuas eour secondary couldn't cover a wr or te for more than 2 seconds.

The reason it was picked off was because jake was very late throwing the ball. Jake had a helluva game though, but if you watch the replay if jake threw it as smith was making a break its a first down/touchdown.

The reason we lost was our DEFENSE!!!!

Yeah that play really pissed me off, triple %$#@ coverage and King was like 25 yards and WIDE OPEN. I actually saw a lot of missed open receiver opportunities but I usually just chalk that up to Jake being Jake. Nobody seems to mind when Smitty actually catches those but it is an extremely bad habit Jake has.

like i said jake was the least of my worries this game..........i like the checkdowns he's been doing though.......are we ever going to us moose or rosario effectivly anyway

i am glad others saw king wide open as well. jake played better, but his habit of forcing to smith is what other defenses are counting on and taking advantage of.

on the flip side, yes, our defense just plain sucks both up front, and in the secondary. our middle is strong but can't do it all. we don't have a defense to stop anyone, and our offense isn't going to be strong enough in the passing game to keep up with the points our defense is going to give up (38 and 28 so far) and we can't run the ball the whole game and score 30+ so be prepared to lose a lot of games.

i'm sticking with my prediction of only 4 or 5 wins this year.
