Lebron James couldn't win a championship by himself in Cleveland, so he left a team that had gone to The Finals to play with two superstars in Miami, on a team that was very good before he got there, even winning a championship before his arrival.

Kevin Durant couldn't win a championship by himself in OKC, so he left a team that had just gone to the Western Conference Finals to play with two superstars in Oakland, on a team that was very good before he got there, even winning a championship before his arrival.

I understand you really like Lebron, but even with the thickest King goggles available you have to realize that it is the EXACT SAME THING.

All Kevin Durant needed was some bullshit televised special to showcase his arrogance and a WWE style introduction party into Oakland and it would look like we went back in time.

Come on, Montsta. It's NOT the same.

It's similar but not the exact same thing. Lebron left a team that lost twice to the Big 3 Celtics, the Magic team that beat the Big 3, and had lost to the Spurs in the Finals years before. He left a team that had supporting players like Ilgauskas, Delonte West, Mo Williams, and an old ass Shaq. The Heat were another, lower seeded playoff team that had not faced the Cavs in the playoffs during his time in Cleveland.

On the other hand, KD is teamed up with All-Star and MVP candidate Westbrook, two promising young forwards/center in Kanter and Adams, and some decent role players. A team so good that they pushed the Warriors to 7 games and looked the better team throughout the series before reverting to iso-ball. KD leaves said team that was 1 win away from the Finals to go to the team that he lost to? It's a bad look. The only thing I can give KD is the fact that he didn't do some "The Decision" style BS.

personally (and its likely this will be an opinion in the minority based upon what i've read from the opinions on here regarding this move!) I'm really excited at the prospect of seeing how the warriors play  next year, with essentially a"big four" and A.N.Other filling up the center spot (i'm assuming iggy will remain as sixth man). I appreciate that alot of fans will feel that he is selling out, but I cant really blame him. His stats will surely take a hit next year (as will curry and thompson's) but he wants to win and he's going to win alot in the next 2 years with that group.

It shouldn't be a case of other teams feeling already defeated before the season even starts. they should be inspired and desperate to develop a team to compete against them. the warriors (barring, but one could suggest even with durants signing) are an organically created team, mostly built through the draft and players developed (and very few traded for ala Lakers and celtics success in the past decade) so i cant really begrudge them this roster as it's a team taking advantage of the hard work and great choices they've made.

In addition, I have a much harder time hating Durant for his choice as i feel he has gone about this whole process (and his professional career to date) with the utmost class. He's remained very humble and to me, really likeable. Lebron on the other hand, tends to go about things in the most indecorous of ways

My point was that for all the poo Lebron did that made pretty much every non-Heat fan hate him, what KD is arguably much worse. and poo, I can't blame the Warriors for getting better, and hats off to them for building this team through some incredible drafting (in retrospect, how was Green a 2nd rounder?!?). what i want to see most is Westbrook in full ballhog, 2001 Iverson mode. I really hope he wins the MVP this year.

Here's some truth for you:

Cleveland doesn't have the guns to matchup with them now.  Durant will defend LeBron, while Klay will defend Kyrie.

Steph will defend JR Smith?  Wait, he's a free agent.  Hell, I dunno who he'll defend.  It doesn't matter because LeBron is not winning with Golden State being this stacked.

Never thought I'd say it but I hope the Cavaliers beat the Warriors in next years Finals

And as far as KD to Boston, I hope Boston doesnt even give him a chance again to go there, we don't want you KD, you could have had the city of Boston in your hand, and took every big shot down the stretch of big games ... guess you didnt want that cause you arent that good you tall ass pussy bitch

Boston never had a chance at KD why would he leave okc or the chance to go to gs to play for the Celtics who have no stars. IT and Horford or good players but not stars
