I'm cool with bringing Marvin and batum back but I just don't see the improvement from last year. We lost our six man in lin and lost al who gave us a low post scorer. Unless we make some trades for some key contributers were gonna be relying on improvement from young guys on the roster MKG, zeller, Kaminsky. 

Lin is a blow but the issue with him was that we would have had to use our salary cap space to sign him unlike Batum and Williams. Williams early bird rights allows us to go over the cap with his Early Bird rights while still keeping his $9 million cap hold. Didn't have that option with Lin.

It was going to be pretty much impossible to sign 3 of Batum, Lin, Marvin, Lee. Lin just didn't give us the flexibility that Marvin did, money wise.

That Marvin deal is a steal.  Sure we have multiple PFs but Marvin can play SF as well and shot 40% from 3.

I understand your point, but look at it this way.  We replaced Lin, Jefferson and Lee with MKG and Bellinelli (so far).  Still long ways to go this off season but replacing Lee with MKG in the lineup is head and shoulders above upgrade, and yes we do lack that sixth man that Lin provided but the off season has just begun and I can easily see this team competing for a top 4 spot if healthy.  IF healthy AND we add a defensive stopper at center and a playmaking PG off bench.

Can we? Unless my calculations are wrong, we have 10 million without Lee's cap hold. With Lee we have less than a million.

Mavericks intend to sign Harrison Barnes to 4yr MAX DEAL. Warriors can match the offer sheet since he is RFA.

Lee is gone, we will use that money elsewhere.. im interested in Greg Monroe - he is being made available in trades.. his defense sucks about the same as Codys but has a much more polished offensive game. think of a younger Al Jefferson. If we can flip something including a few of Cody/Hawes/Lamb/1st Rd pick for Monroe then get a serviceable PG like Lawson or Chalmers.. id be happy

Love the Horford to Celtics signing. Should be able to challenge Toronto for the Atlantic this year.
