You do this, and you quickly become the sixers lol. NBA players aren't going for that. They want their money.

That's exactly what we are doing though.  Bringing older guys in on short term deals. 

 

The cap jumped 25% or whatever this year.  That should have brought about a 25% increase in salary for a given player.  But, the teams spent all of the jump on the crop of FAs without leaving cash on the side for the next group of FAs.  Next year is the year to go FA shopping, not this year.  Hornets taking the long-term approach here and I think that is the right way to go about it, even if it means dropping off a bit this year.
