Have been planning on starting a new feature on the huddle front page called "The Litterbox"

This was worthy of the first installment. Currently going crazy on social media.

I find it hilarious when people say we finally faced a "real" defense in the superbowl and that's the reason we lost.

Bull fuggin sh*t. How about we faced a HISTORICALLY ELITE defense. We faced a real defense in the Seahawks and Cardinals (both top 5) and we slaughtered them. Denver was the ONLY team in the league with a defense like that, so saying we've been "exposed" as in teams know how to beat us now is outright bullsh*t.

And they call that contract damage? It's literally an decent contract for a decent LT. You want damage, don't pay Oher and let's let Foucalt protect Cam's blindside, then you'll see real damage.

people talk like it's easy to go out and get a tackle that can handle the league's elite pass rushing talent one on one.  or that it's some kind of detriment to oher that his name wasn't getting called much against average-good/above average pass rushers week in and week out.  like he should lose points for not being a turnstile.

the fews guys in the entire league who can do that get paid a shitload of money and are the most valuable players on offense outside of quarterbacks and maybe the occasional freakish julio jones type wide receiver.  having shown anything even vaguely resembling the potential to be in the top half of the league as a pass blocker can get a guy paid.  like compare the guaranteed money anthony collins got compared to michael oher.  collins got 50% more basically.

And this, ladies and gents, is what happens to journalism when feelings outweigh logic and reason.

it has permeated the full breadth of our culture.  Your feelings have more value than your intelligence or lack thereof.

enjoy the ignorance.

When you have a road grading interior line which includes 2 pro bowlers, It's ok if one of your tackles is poor in run blocking. Pass blocking, especially for LT, is extremely more important. In other words, this article was obviously made by someone with very little football knowledge. Nevermind the fact his pay is around middle of the pack as far as LTs go.

I don't think it even that complex. Blogs live on traffic. They need content, pretty much any content. Whatever comes to mind with as least research or time seems to work.

The Panthers do have an OT combo that is among the bottom of the league. When management hands the fans the worst OT combo in the league following a pro bowl OT, they effectively lower expectations. Now they upgrade the team from worst in the NFL to bottom 5 and fans are thrilled at the improvement. Yes, the OTs were a hot pile of garbage and that garbage was taken out, but it was replaced with more garbage - all be it this garbage is not rotting. That is reality. The Panthers OT position is no where near the average of the league.

Thankfully, the Panthers have several talented players on offense among the best in the NFL that greatly compensate for the inefficiencies at OT and WR. Unfortunately, this talent the Panthers have on offense is no challenge for the top pass rushers in the NFL.

We can hope the Panthers keep getting a good draw of teams with limited outside pass rushers each week, and thankfully the NFC South is horrible when it comes to pass rushers. The Panthers will struggle offensively against any team with a decent outside pass rush. The Panthers had 16 of 19 games against teams among the worst pass rushing teams in the NFL. None of those 13 teams were above average. The Panthers struggled with the Texans and Broncos and the Broncos were the only pass rushing team the Panthers faced on the road. They also struggled with the Packers outside of the 2nd quarter. Thankfully, they ran up the score in that 2nd quarter.

This is reality. We know the weakness and the front office has left it unanswered for 3 off seasons now. The Panthers OTs face the Broncos, Chiefs, Vikings, and Rams. They face 2 of those teams on the road. The Panthers OTs had it easy in 2015. That will not be the case in 2016.

Exactly, it's a pile of emotional reactions(hot takes) that have minimal research or facts to back them up.  It's text book ignorance and somehow this strange viewpoint has a massive platform from which to spew. (Social media)

I can't believe that anyone would put in the effort to be this stupid.
