Shula ... The name alone can make you cringe and at the same time have some sympathy toward ... He's just like that one family member who just never quite fits in .. And if you can't think of that family member then it's probably you

the guy just kept pounding....now has pounded his way with the elite play callers...

just hope our fan base can appreciate what we have in him before he leaves

The most underrated trait is his ego, or lack of.  He allows Cam to call plays, is flexible with his system, and doesn't want the spotlight.  I think he's a great fit now, it could be much worse, with an arrogant OC trying to make Cam fit into his scheme rather than changing his scheme to fit his players.

He's called a lot of outstanding games, but too many horrific games (even last year) to be considered top 5, imo. He also still struggles to get a play actually called on time, leading to delay of game penalties.

I have no idea why its a weekly thing to see our players standing around waiting just to get the call in with like 20 seconds left.

just having a group chat topic of where Shula ranks as a OC

I say top 5, one of my buddies not to be named (rhyslloyd) says fire him now he dont care...

what does the huddle think?  I know he has had a bad past but the dude turned the corner last season and showed he can use Cam the way Cam is designed to be used

I'd be more convinced of his greatness if the defense hadn't been so good last year. Not as difficult to score points when you lead the league in turnovers and starting field position. Not saying he's bad, but he's still the weak link on the coaching staff IMO.

Much like with Oher, I was generally pleased with last season, but I am still skeptical. If I were basing Shula's job on the Super Bowl, he'd be fired.

Hue Jackson would have been a better hire, and perhaps we'd be NFL champions right now as opposed to wannabes.

Like it or not, that's my take, and I am sticking to it.

Whos gunna win a race..  Me with a lambo

or jeff gordon with a suberu outback.

Cam surely has covered over a lot of Shula's sins. People don't want to admit it, but he has.

When it comes to the gridiron, Cam can make a smart man look like a genius, a genius look like Einstein, and a fuddling fool look average.

I will admit that there were less "OMG Shula what are you doing?" until the SuperBowl. He needs to also learn to pick up on Cam's energy, the 1st Quarter of the SuperBowl could have used more quick simple passes to use up Cam's excitement (drain that bad energy away)
