Remaining NFL Top 100 Players of 2016 Predicitions

So here is the obligatory spiel on how this part of the off-season sucks because we must deal with a wasteland of nothingness until late July when our Panthers report to Spartanburg, SC for training camp...

So Greg made NFL network's top 100 players countdown last week, coming in ranked #38.  Wednesday night, players 21-30 will be announced and it got me thinking how the rest of countdown will pane out.  Obviously everyone left on the list is a stud @ their respective position, but here is an attempt to predict the top 20 (b/c the top 30 seems too tough to predict).  And yes, I have homer shades on perhaps, but Cam deserves #1 right??  Feel free to post your top 20 to pass the time until we have real Panthers news again...2015 ranking in parenthesis.

So I'm sure there is a player or 2 I'm letting "slip thru the cracks", but my lunch hour @ work ran out and this is where I was.

I think Cam should be #1........but it will probably go down like this..

1. Watt

2. Brady

3. Rodgers

4.Cam

Or..

1. Watt

2.Brady

3. Antonio Brown

4. Rodgers

5. Miller

6. Mack

7. Donald

8. Cam

The list does seem to like drama.  The biggest drama on it last year was Watt being ranked ahead of the MVP, Rodgers.   That drama created a decent amount of headlines and talking points.      A bigger talking point and even more drama...would be to have the reigning MVP,  Cam.......barely make the top 10.

Guess we're about to find out how good the actual players think Cam is after his MVP season.

Idk about anyone else, but I was surprised Miller and Mack were both on last nights show.  Coming in @ #15 and #13 respectively.  Figured they would both be top 10 since so much emphasis is placed on sacks.  Anyhow, the top 10 is basically set, just don't know the order:

Newton, Watt, Brady, Brown, Rodgers, Kuechly, Peterson, Jones, Gronkowski, and Beckham.

Oh and Norman came in @ #11 if anyone cares: http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-top100-2016

I am also surprised that Aaron Donald was not in the top 10, and also surprised that Norman made it all the way to 11 after being not ranked last year.

Only team in the NFL with 2 players in the top 10

I think Cam is number 1. 1) Its not a fan vote so it takes out the multiple vote to have a biased on a player. 2) Its for only the 2015-16 season and hands down Cam was the most effective player. Better than Brady and alot better than Rodgers. 3) We had as a team thanks to Cam one of the best seasons in NFL history. 1972 Dolphins, undefeated Pats til they lost to the Giants in the SB and us at 17-2. There is no way Cam isnt 1st,

If Cam isn't number one, this whole thing is a joke. He is the most feared player in the league and it's not really close.

Agreed. Other players respect the hell out of Cam. Just watched that AZ thing on Amazon and Tyron Mathieu (sp?) said, to hype them up mind you, they deserved to be on the field with Cam.

Think about that.

I agree with everything you've mentioned, but the NFL Network teaser (as mentioned in another thread) says "former NFL MVP @ #1"

    • It's really only been 2 games. The NO team was so bad their coach was fired after the game and Chuba and the defense carried the team to the win against NY. He's played better but I'm not willing to crown him QB god yet. I want to see more than 2 games or even the rest of the season. I want a full 3rd season with the occasional clunker because it happens to every QB, even the great ones. I just need more than what we've seen to this point.
    • So you proceed to let me have it since I’m asking for it lmfao by saying we’re not talking about a random if….what in your head doesn’t click If statements are not realistic. If statements allow me to say anything and make it sound logical. “If” statements in this forum allow anyone without real statistical evidence or factual proof say anything will or can happen so speak directly to facts without these goofy azz if statements or accept all “if” statements. And to respond to your nonsense he had weapons he had protection. He had a rookie WR playing his first NFL game with Mingo and DJ as his other primary targets. How have either preformed since being traded let’s go deeper into that he had weapons. His top targets(week one) XL 7 targets DJ 6 targets Mingo 5 targets now the rookie has has about 8-9 games before Bryce’s return and we’ve seen XL develop some since the start of the season. And those other TOP weapons have a combined 3 catches in a combined 9 games since being traded. 5 for DJ 4 for Mingo these are the top targets your refer to as who he should have been shining with. Is it all on Bryce or these WRs being actual liabilities and not good players does that matter to you or should Bryce be able to elevate them? Do you really know football or is this my 12 yr old nephew spewing a childish mindset and asking us to accept it as serious football talk.  I’ve just seen the post from @Icege It’s sad after being shown actual facts you don’t know what you should be eating crow about buddy grow tf up. It’s ok to be wrong it doesn’t make you a bad guy you’re just wrong about Bryce . You said quote “Bryce can’t throw down field” do you still feel that way? You said a lot of nonsense that has now been proven wrong but we need to keep waiting right ok kool. I can agree with that we need more much more good play before we fully commit for next season, but to act like the progression being shown isn’t impressive as sht. We’re seeing Bryce play good while waiting on more consistency to crown em but you gotta get out of that dark place because living in denial is a bad place to reside.
    • Thielen is a free agent, isn't he? And regardless we need a younger version of him anyway. I see XL + Coker as our #1 and #2 with Palmer as the #3 in that scenario.
