LeBron would dominate in any era. If he grew up with those rules and played with them for so long just like those guys he would be used to it and his greatness is undeniable he would dominate any era. You're talking like as if LeBron was put in a time machine to the past he couldn't play with them because of the hard play, but put those older players in a time machine to the future where they can't hand check and have to rely on lateral quickness to play defense they would get flat out burned by today's athletes on the floor.

Not points, mostly excuses.  Nobody gives a poo about your front office excuses.  He didn't win a Championship his first time in Cleveland, so he left.  Then he got his Titles in Miami, Cleveland got 3 number 1 picks (somehow), and Miami got old so he left again.  Then proceeded to use the "I need to win one for the Land bull poo excuse."

In essence, he's not a dumb ass by any means.  He leaves when the going gets tough, and who could blame him.  He needs superstars around him to win, simple as that.

The front office put a trash team around him his first go around. The evidence is in going from 61 wins to 19 wins after losing 1 man.

I didn't say he's struggle, but he wouldn't be the best and jumping from team to team demanding an all-star team be built wasn't a thing then either.   I said he's the best of his era, but from what we have SEEN, you know, the facts, he would just be a top-20 guy back then.   Like someone said, he wouldn't survive the Detroit team, he flops on everything and whines about any kind of contact.  Maybe he wouldn't be a baby back then, maybe not, but all we have is the FACTS to go by.

See there you go again with the time machine concept, bring the bad boys to this Era and they get wrecked on, the whole damn team would be facing suspensions on the regular lmao, Look at it both ways, you're only considering the rules of the past

anyone who seriously thinks Lebron would be a role player in the 90s is delusional. Dude is 6'8 and 250, the quickest big man in the league and one of a very few # of players that can guard the 1-5 positions. the fact that he hasn't won a DPOY is absurd.

Early 90s, and in the 80s he would get destroyed.  Late 90s I won't argue with.

And one last thing.  You put him against any of the HOF centers of the 90s, he would get worked.  Especially again Hakeem, Shaq, and Robinson.

Stop with this fallacy, there's a reason he has never won DPOY.  Because he doesn't deserve it, with all his chase down blocks and that's it.

I can't handle these kids anymore thinking this about a guy that can't hit a consistent jumper to save his life.  He literally shot less than 35 percent in the Playoffs outside of 5 feet.  Stop this poo.  He's great, but he's not superman.

Let LeBron hand check and he's locking people down on the perimeter with ease in the 90s. His defense is underrated and he has gotten robbed of DPOY a couple times

He's constantly out of place when he's on defense.  He has not gotten robbed, he doesn't deserve it.  And LOL at hand checking him helping him.  With all those shooters in the 90s?  Doubtful.

There's better shooters today than the 90s. Hand checking is a serious advantage on defense how would it not make anyone better on defense? Lol

Ultimately this is a futile argument as there is no way to prove it one way or another, but I believe that Lebron would be able to start in any era. He certainly would not go to 6 straight Finals in a row, and probably would have won the MVP less, but I think he would still be a top 5-15 player in the league back then.

He would still get to the basket and line in any era, you act like they didn't blow the whistle at all back in the day. LeBron has also developed a very nice post game, and makes every one of his teammates better. Saying he would have trouble in another era is blasphemous, as is anyone saying Jordan would struggle in today's game

He wouldn't drive after Laimbeer and Mahorn laid the wood to him a couple times. That's how it worked. Lebron would be standing outside shooting jumpers. I'd bet the farm he wouldn't wander into the paint for chit. He's a physical beast yet he is very soft minded. And that is facts
