Panthers-Falcons Report Card

h3QUARTERBACK /h3 bGrade: /bB br Jake Delhomme had a much better performance, which was a must for the Panthers going forward. His was generally sharp throughout and completed numerous passes in the clutch. His lone interception was on fourth-and-10 near the end when he had to pass rather than having the option of throwing the ball away. It wasn't his best game, but it was far from his worst. p/ h3RUNNING BACKS/h3 bGrade: /bBbr There were definite glimpses of Double Trouble even though the Panthers didn't run as much as usual because they played so much from behind and had to pass. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart combined for seven carries of 12 yards or more, including a 28-yarder by Stewart. However, both of them fumbled. Williams' fumble was his first since 2007. Williams also admitted he should have kept the ball on a flea flicker play instead of lateraling it back to Delhomme, who was sacked for a 12-yard loss.

    • They reached for Pickett, so they are not immune to it.  I could see that as well.  I just think the Colts are flying under the radar and they have been too quiet concerning their QB situation--of course, they could think Jones is their guy (they had a good one named Jones a long time ago) but I think they are done with the Richardson experiment.   Even if I believed in Jones, I would still draft a QB--I also read one mock that said the Jets would take Sanders if he falls to 7---I disagree, but I was once wrong and it still bothers me.
    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
