Great to read that Damiere Byrd continues to be performing so well this year in OTAs & minicamp.  In his post-practice comments, Ron made it sound as if he thinks Byrd could possibly be a real contributor this season.

Towards the end of his presser, Ron got talking about how pleased he is with the diversity of skills & talents among the WR and how tough the competition will be.  In addition to KB & Funch, Ron talked of Ginn, Philly & Byrd for their speed and Bersin & Norwood as versatile possession receivers.

Sounds for now as if those are his top 7 at the moment.  He didn't mention Hill or Garrett, for what it's worth.

In his comments, Ron mentioned Philly ahead of Byrd for what it's worth.  But of course he was not giving his ranking of the players.  I'm just noting who he seemed most excited about.  He was specifically asked about Funch & KB but then quickly went on to talk of his excitement about the other guys beyond KB & Funch.  He mentioned Ginn, Brown, Byrd grouped together, and then added in Bersin & Norwood in terms of possession receivers.

Specifically Ron mentioned vertical threats; guys who can go up and catch the ball; guys who can get underneath; possession receivers... he really sounds pleased about the mix of guys they've got to work with and what that can bring to the offense.

OK we gotta keep 7 WR's. No wait- make it 8. Then put 3 on the PS. I think that'll do it. I can come up with 3 guys on the roster I can stand to lose, and two of them are better than Brandon LaFell.

I'm shocked that no one has been in here crying about bradberry being a bust already. Maybe the huddle is calming down?

He'll be in the practice squad along with Garrett.  Hill has come a long way and I have a feeling his time spend rehabbing with KB helped his growth. Watch out for him.

My brother played in cams kick ball thing last week.  Byrd was playing first base.  My brother was throwing to first.  Byrd dropped the pass.
