I'd say because he's a CB and you want to see what he can do outside. Don't assume they plan to move him there, but it is kind of a good idea to know what your guys can do at at a different position. This team values versatility.

I think Sandland might be the steal of the draft. Getting a chance to learn behind Greg Olsen who is almost a carbon copy of him physically could be huge.
