Not sure if this old news or not, but does anyone know when he actually injured it?  Minus the knee issue I don't remember hearing anything about his finger last season, so just curious how long he's been living with that thing?!  Also....Keep Pounding

I don't understand why they don't go and fix it. Isn't that something easy to fix or are the nerve endings really that bad and hard to mess with?

all they would have to do is set it and splint it. Wtf is their problem?

How do they keep from getting those caught on everything they walk by? I would be knocking over everything near what I was trying to pick up, or catching it on everything I passed by.

Yeah, this all makes ZEOR sense to me. Calvin Johnson finally just had his surgically repaired but had apparently played 3 seasons with it. WHY!?!?!? It only take a couple of months for a broken bone to heal. Couldn't they re-break it, set it, cast/splint it and let it heal over the off season?? or even have a couple of small screws set in there to make sure it heals properly and is strong enough to prevent it from happening again!?

They don't want the down time. You may say, "It's only 3 months!", but that is three months of zero hand activity. No gym, not catching, no anything!  Not worth the down time.
