this is the very definition of june/july contract puffery.  9.9/10 times the two sides magically come together at the end of July.  Von could say he would murder his first born son to keep from playing under the tag and he could get away with it.

But if he gets hurt, like a career ending injury or something like that, he could lose like 40-50 million that would be guarenteed.   If Suh and that other dude (I think Giants got him) can get more guarenteed than Miller, well, that's silly.  The market dictates the price and I don't really blame him.

It's really disingenuous to say they won a super bowl on Von Miller's back. He was amazing, but Demarcus Ware and Malik Jackson were just as good. 

Mack wasn't even the best pass rusher in his division last season so let's pump the brakes with all this praise.

He can take out an insurance policy. I very seriously doubt it would pay off for him in the long run to sit out and leave $14M on the table.
