careful you need to be I believe rank 3 to get weapons packages unless that changed with ROI

basically I have 3 characters all at least level three in one faction- that way if I really want a gun a faction is offering I can use that character to get it.

Honestly, I have always loved the dark asethic of Dead Orbit.  I've always like the regal appearance of NM.  I have all three on my three characters, but I think I might bail on FWC simply because their gear isn't too awesome.

Though I like their lore a lot more.  Leads some interesting thought ideas about the Exo Stranger, Time Travel and The Deepstone Crypt.

I got the pulse rifle in a package and it seems pretty good actually

 

I'm saving up my marks for that Dead Orbit shotty though- will be a beast in PVP and in the raid

I'm keeping my two to see how good they get.  For others interested, we're talking about the Future War Cult Pulse Rifle called The Waltz.  it is a 77 Rate of Fire, 4 Impact pulse.

1st one - MD Reflex/ SureShot IS / OEG Riflescope for Optics, Column 1: Armor Piercing Rounds / Snapshot, Column 2 - Smallbore / Feeding Frenzy, Final Perk - Headseeker

2nd one - Red-Dot ORA2 / QuickDraw IS / OEG Riflescope for Options, Column 1: High Caliber Rounds / Snapshot, Colum 2: Smallbore / Secret Round, Final: Counter Balance

Both are very interesting weapons for PVP.  I've bolded what I plan to upgrade.  Both bring interesting perk sets.  Once I get my ghorn (hopefully today), I'm going to get to work leveling them and see how they all shake out.

For PVE, I can't beat my fabian strategy.  Since the update, this thing is so good when dealing with masses of NPCs.  For Patrol, Archon's Forge, and daily missions, it's bomb!  In strikes, it's again really good.

The Dead Orbit Scout and Shotgun, vendor stock are kind of amazing.  They are right there after I get my Palindrome Crucible Vendor HC.  I've got a poo ton of good Hand Cannons, but it never hurts to get a true META gun.

yea I'm a sucker for hand cannons- with skeleton keys I'm burning them trying to get a nasty Imago Loop

 

got a question for you, I got a palidrome in a crucible weapons package- it rolled with:

steady hand, quick shot, sure shot

hot swap, spray and play

hammer forged, light weight

reactive reload

 

what do you think about that? I bolded the upgrades I'm running- I like it so far not sure if I REALLY need to buy the vendor one- but who am I kidding I'll probably buy that too

OMG, I LOVE the Fabian!  I made a little short video of it's awesomeness.  I've got some more clips to add to it.  I might make a real Destiny weapon review.  What sucks is that I don't have a fancy capture card or a PC to run it.  It's all based on MS upload studio and how I download that, put it in lightworks, and add my own voice over.  I am not going to be a Destiny content creator for sure!

 

As far as the Hand Cannon, you want as much range as possible to help combat those ghost bullets. That's not a bad roll at all.  Might be a better PVE HC due to the reactive reload.  Hammer Forged Helps on range for sure, but it's going to lose out against the HCs with rifled barrel sadly.  But you'll really be able to lay the iron into folks in the short/medium range.  I'd try it out.  You could be a flanking God though with the right movement perks on a class.  I bet it would be really nice in Supremacy since it's all short range, having a fast reload with added damage would be really useful.

I have a Finnala's Peril from the last IB that's got god roll range and the vendor one which has outlaw and reactive reload.  I do equally well with each (1.5-3.0 depending on the lobbies).  Keep in mind, I'm not a super Crucible Player by any stretch.

Happy Xur-day:  Today is PVP gear day!

MIDA Multi-tool - yeah, just a great PvP and PvE scout rifle, even minus the high caliber rounds.  It has crazy aim assist, easy recoil and super fast reload speed.

Armamentarium with super high discipline AND arc kills/armor.  Just a great chest piece overall with two grenades.

Sealed Ahamkara Grasps - get an extra melee charge is always useful for those WAMBO combos.

Voidfang Vestments - makes the fusion grenades super evil and mean.

Why is this important at all?  Iron Banner is coming!!!  All three exotic armor pieces give you an extra boost in keeping folks from picking up crests.  See a buddies crest?  Launch a grenade or smoke ball there to cover it and keep someone at bay while you kill them OR deny the crest.  Likewise if you see a red crest!  Voidfangs extra tracker should allow you to clean up someone you get a few hits on.  And MIDA, dear MIDA, even with the slight nerf, you still melt people in the Crucible.  I love you MIDA!
