I realize we've got to give the guy time, but we needed an impact player on the line (I would have prefered a tackle rather than an end). It's only been two games, but Brown has yet to be that for us.

I think Johnson is more than capable as a situational pass rusher.

anyone that thinks that trading a first for a second and a 4th for a player who does not make an immediate impact for the team is dumb, including Marty Hurney. Im sorry, I like Brown, but we were in serious need for D-line help, specifically DT, and we pick one up in the 3rd round. hell, there were plenty of DEs in later rounds, such as Michael Johnson and paul kruger, that we could have picked up, w/o giving up a first. missed opportunites.
