This is in response to the low ball offer Gettleman tossed out. Very disrespectful to any player in contract talks when the GM wants to make it appear that they are not a key player to the team. You cannot push for loyalty to the team while not being loyal to the players. Short has been in the facilities and participating in other non contact activities. This is purely speculation at this point.

If he skips minicamp, then I think it would be a huge mistake on his part. 

Gettleman cited that he "wanted players who were all in" and used that as a reason to rescind the tag on Norman.

Short is still under his rookie contract and has a lot less leverage than Norman did. 

I doubt this becomes anything at all, however it continues to expose the fact that  Gettlman Hyperbole around here is way out of control. Somehow some members have brainwashed themselves into thinking Gettleman is perfect and already deserving of a statue. Making themselves appear more as G-man fans than panther fans when reading some post.
