This is fox's plan (though he wants to win, but not smart enough), suck when we play top tier competition and win 11-12 games when we have the easy schedule. look at our history (it truly speaks for itself). Why do you think our years are never back to back (winning or losing). this is a 2nd tier team under the triplets (fox, hunrey, delhomme). just enough to keep their jobs, crap! all 3 do it and every week everyone wonders what will step out on the field. all 3 have seen thier best years and it's time to move on. if people love them so much, support them on a different team, I for one want some CONSISTENCY out of my team!!!!

See. Thats why this team needs to leave. Charlotte is too white collar for an NFL franchise. The "fans" are pathetic.

I hate to tell you there is a lot of us blue collar workers in Charlotte. My family has lived in Charlotte for 4 generations. My dad works for Time Warner and we love the panthers. We just cant afford the tickets to go when we like. They are way to expensive here.

We are a city that pretends to be bigger than we are and we compensate by charging ridiculous prices for tickets that end up going to the opposing teams fans because we cant afford it. Plus there is a big problem with people buying tickets early then reselling them for ridiculous prices...that also goes along with our inept 300% increases in parking when they play.

Also we have a problem with using the game as a buisness meeting which makes it even harder to get in. We are one greedy city with the 6th highest unemployment and being the 2nd largest banking city in the US we got hit hard by the recession/depression.

Ah, so i was wrong on the white collar thing but completely right on the horrible fans? Got it. Yea this team needs to pack its bags and leave the dump that is Charlotte before the city completely ruins the team.

In case you haven't noticed, you're the only person making this argument. If your posts were actually logical, maybe someone would actually agree with you.

No, Panthers may have fans, but they are the worst kind of fans. They are as fair-weather as they come and are a complete joke.

All teams have fair-weather fans that only like a team that wins. All teams have die-hard fans that like the team no matter what. We have the same % of each as any other team in the NFL. Do you even live in NC/SC? Are you just speculating on what our fans are like?

Because you must not drive around seeing panthers stickers all over even when were loosing. You must not been to a bar or sports restaurant and seen the fans out in force. You must be in your own little world wishing bad things on everyone you meet.

Panther fans, lend me your ears. Through the incompetence of John Fox and Marty Hurney, the energy has been sucked out of this franchise. 2009 has seen one of the most embarrassing playoff losses in NFL history, a winless preseason, and two ugly losses to start the season. We've been outscored by 36 points this season, currently the most in the league. The decision to trade away next year's first-round pick for a rotational defensive end, the decision to tag Julius Peppers for $16 million+ this season, the decision to give a 34-year-old quarterback coming off the worst postseason performance in league history for a quarterback a $20 million extension, the decision to not add a SINGLE free agent to shore up any position on the team, the decision to not even attempt to find an heir apparent for Jake Delhomme.........these have GUTTED this franchise.

Their time has come and gone. John Fox and Marty Hurney have been joined at the hip since 2002 when Fox became head coach and Hurney became general manager. Yes, under their guidance, this team has had some success. But their time has past.

The quarterback position is a wreck. There STILL isn't a receiver they've found that can play besides 89 and Moose. Offensive line depth is non-existent. The defense is atrocious with not a single quality player to be found on the defensive line other than Mr. Million Dollar Quarterback Hurry Julius Peppers. Other than Beason and TD, there isn't a serviceable linebacker on the team. The safeties continue to beabominable...in fact, there hasn't been a quality safety on this team under Fox and Hurney since the days when Mike Minter was still a good player. The special teams has been a disaster for years with the returners going to random players and the coverage teams being god-awful.

It has gotten back to that ugly point in 2001 where you're mocked if you wear Panthers memorabilia out in public in the CITY OF CHARLOTTE HOME OF THE TEAM.

This hasn't just been a 2009 issue. Questionable decisions have been made in the GM and coaching spots for years. Not resigning Will Witherspoon. Not drafting Joe Flacco and numerous other quarterbacks that are better than Jake Delhomme. The mostly laughable draft history since 2002. The signing of David Carr. The numerous fantastic free agents they've passed on throughout the years. The lack of halftime adjustments. Not letting players tip their hand as to what an offensive play is going to be before the snap. The same old, vanilla and conservative play-style that has driven Panther fans insane for years. To top it off, we've never had back-to-back winning seasons much less back-to-back playoff appearances and it appears like that will continue this year.

The Richardson brothers were dismissed to have a clean start in the front office. We, the good people of the Carolina Huddle, are in agreement that there should be a clean start at the GM and coaching positions.

FIRE JOHN FOX AND MARTY HURNEY!

But an 0-2 team went to superbowl and won it no less. You seem to be jumping ship a little early.

Franchises don't use the same measuring stick when grading their fans as we do. If the fans buy up tickets and merchandise, the owners and managers will be happy. Who cares whether they know the difference between a free and strong safety? They're spending hundreds of dollars to hold business meetings at the 50 yard line.

Thats all well and good. But to say our fans are bad makes me upset because I have met and know people who are amazing fans but cant always afford to be in a game. We make them alot of money from TV when we watch the games on TV. Lost of ad revenue gets put in from the real fans. We should be able to afford to see a game at least once in a season. Some kind of special day or bonus for natives would be awesome.
