Was Peppers worth it ???

Was Peppers worth the Franchise Tag ? We could have broght in alot of different free agents that might have brought some fire back on the D-line.

On top of all this we may have lost a shot at The Golden Calf of Bristol next year in the draft. The way the season is going San Fran might be picking in the top five.

1 yes can you imagine how horid our pass rush would be without peppers?

PS if Hurney were to use a first round pick for The Golden Calf of Bristol a player he can most likely get in the 3rd or 4th round I would personally go to charlotte and kick his ass. Man Im glad I dont have to worry about that.

also What makes you think we need another fullback?

Second ps

I swear Im starting to want to give neg rep to everybody that says crap about drafting The Golden Calf of Bristol in the first round seriously are you people illiterate?

How is San Fran picking in the top 5?

I think you have a hard time convincing anybody that Pep is 'worth it', we have proof because his ass is still here. I havent heard any analyst comment on Peppers like they rag on Delhomme.. I'd like for both of them to be gone because they have outlived their usefulness... Cowher would have no problem telling either one to hit the road...

    • Team is dangerous right now, all four lines are contributing and the speed at which the guys play at is tremendous.
    • And every nfl player wannabe tries to up their draft position through things like the combine and theyre all basically lying though those drills theyve practiced hundreds of times that have little bearing on if theyre a good football player. The pro days are even worse. All you have to do is dupe 1 team. Is it right? No. But until teams put more emphasis on college tape vs. What they did in shorts with no defense it'll happen every year. I doubt there is a single player that wouldn't try anything to up their draft prospects.  Young had years of tape and that shouldve been what the decision was based on. Not a scale and throwing in shorts.  ( btw I think the combine and pro days are 90% a waste of time) Young has it financially made already. It's up to him if he wants to be a good football player too. I think the benching was the best thing that could've happened to him. It remains to be seen if it was enough
    • This.  Honest introspection on his behalf would have seen that size and strength were his biggest weaknesses. He looks no different. With the programs in the NFL, he could have come back to camp 10 lbs of muscle heavier. Easily. If had done so, it would have been reported on. It would have been the hottest story…. But we never saw anything of the sort, so it probably never happened.  He showed improvement this last game, likely from Andy’s tutelage. He has to show something VERY special to close the season out to change my thinking on him… like 4 game winning streak with a clutch 4th quarter comeback. Then maybe.
