Did yall just see that play Ben Rothlisberger made? The guy doesnt always put up pretty stats, but he makes big plays when they count. I dont know why he doesnt get recognized more.

Because he's white!!!! :D

Bears did what they had to do today to win the game! Good work, Bears!

I was mostly talking to the Panther faithful. I hope they understand that a slow start was almost a given, but they will likely turn it around after week 3.

Yeah, I do believe your Bears glass is always half full dimbs, of Orange and Blue koolaid! I still think the 9-7 or 10-6 range is likely for the Bears. :D Hope to be wrong.

Loads of credit yesterday to Lovie Smith and Ron Turner.

Going with a west coast type of approach (concentrate on short, safe passes and let your elusive receivers get yards after catch) was the right approach on two levels. It helped Cutler bounce back from the week one disaster and it was the right way to combat an aggressive attack like the one the Steelers run on defense.

As a side note, Tyrone Carter is a dirty player.

    • Team is dangerous right now, all four lines are contributing and the speed at which the guys play at is tremendous.
    • And every nfl player wannabe tries to up their draft position through things like the combine and theyre all basically lying though those drills theyve practiced hundreds of times that have little bearing on if theyre a good football player. The pro days are even worse. All you have to do is dupe 1 team. Is it right? No. But until teams put more emphasis on college tape vs. What they did in shorts with no defense it'll happen every year. I doubt there is a single player that wouldn't try anything to up their draft prospects.  Young had years of tape and that shouldve been what the decision was based on. Not a scale and throwing in shorts.  ( btw I think the combine and pro days are 90% a waste of time) Young has it financially made already. It's up to him if he wants to be a good football player too. I think the benching was the best thing that could've happened to him. It remains to be seen if it was enough
    • This.  Honest introspection on his behalf would have seen that size and strength were his biggest weaknesses. He looks no different. With the programs in the NFL, he could have come back to camp 10 lbs of muscle heavier. Easily. If had done so, it would have been reported on. It would have been the hottest story…. But we never saw anything of the sort, so it probably never happened.  He showed improvement this last game, likely from Andy’s tutelage. He has to show something VERY special to close the season out to change my thinking on him… like 4 game winning streak with a clutch 4th quarter comeback. Then maybe.
