Why Luke and TD are the League's best LB duo

Recommended Posts

I read the comments from the article and I've seen the same comment posted over and over again relating to Norman always going 1-on-1 and basically eliminating the other teams best receiver. Since we play zone this couldn't be further from the truth. If I recall Norman never followed the other team's #1 receiver. He lined up on his side and stayed in his zone. You can't dispute that Norman excelled in our defense, but, at the same time, saying that he is the reason our defense was so good is not true. He definitely made us better but our LBs were by far the most important players on that side of the ball.

I know it's not the Official Prediction thread but I've gone over your math,,,in detail. After going over the numbers and using some of your advanced metrics I've come up with the most likely prediction...19-0.

I approve your math!  Bring it!

Norman switched sides many times throughout the season.  Although he did play in zone for the most part, he was a pretty big part of the reason we were so successful.  We shouldn't sell him short.  QB's started avoiding the side of the field he was on.  Those young guys have big shoes to fill.  Our front 7 helps the back end a lot, but there were several times they got help because of him.  They'll have to step it up a notch for these rookies.

These were the same people who said we didn't play anybody in the regular season and that we would get blown out by Seattle in playoffs. Errrr what?

the cardinals were supposed to kick our ass too

then the season ended and we still "hadn't played anybody".  most NFL fans are just low info and it's something i've come to accept.  it's better for the blood pressure.

This is why I can't watch games at sports bars. I hear some idiot spouting off some incorrect stats or premise and I end up almost blowing a gasket. Oddly enough those people are generally random Cowboys or Steelers fans.
