I called TWC number today...  Spent 10 minutes on hold...Spent an hour on the phone with an idiot by name Inreque...  The worst customer service experience ever.  Was told I'm no longer their customer... Was told I need to provide my SS, DOB and NC driver license if I want their service... I asked him wtf?  Since when?  He said it's the new thing so I just hang up.  Then I realized TWC is no longer exists...  Welcome to Charter.

Im in Charlotte had to call today for the annual you just raised my bill by 40 dollars time to make right call. 

 

Asked the rep about when the change over to spectrum would be happening and the rep had no clue. Recieved a spam letter form the POA from spectrum last week saying everything would stay as time warner for the near future , so  i dont know when the switch will happen for myself but i hate not knowing a definite date.

It's actually Charter protocol to run credit history on all their customers.

If by credit history, you mean credit report, not likely. Unless it has been agreed to by both parties in some form, they shouldn't have. Otherwise they are infringing on the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) and could be held liable without permissible purpose and could be held liable for damages in court.

By the way, I have had Charter for years and not once have they ever pulled my credit report.

I want to know how they are going to jack up my internet rates when my current pricing structure goes away.  I had to pretend to live in Asheville again to get a look at their pricing structures and they don't seem to have an internet package much higher than 60mbps down....which, for all the poo (and completely deserved, God I hate TWC, they should've been raped with a flaming spiked bat...wait, I digress), TWC has much higher speeds in the Charlotte area due to its upgrades over the last few years.  If I have to go from 300mbps to 60, I'll be forced to send a tersely written email.  Tersely.
