Jake is back, Defense...not so much.

Jake threw for 308 yds (some in garbage time, but who cares), 1TD, 1int. but lets put this into perspective. He is coming off of a 77yd 4int game. HUGE improvement. aside from 1 almost turnover and an int, great job by Delhomme.

now the defense.. aside from one pick, we sucked...big time. barely getting stops. we contained turner for 39 yards in the first half, but never contained the pass. i blame this scheme, and a lack of pass rush. We dont have the DT to rush the passer, and Peppers got bottled up most of the game. 0 sacks. I think Chris Harris might have been more effective than Teal, but it was more than his absence.

season outlook- after an 0-2 start, i still think we could make a run, IF the defense adjust some things. Louis Leonard going out hurts really bad. how many healthy DTs does that leave? The offense CAN and WILL score. we proved it today, but its a matter of getting stops, and staying ahead of the game. If the D plays like they did today in Dallas on MNF. kiss the season goodbye.

Yeah back to crap. He was terrible in the 1st half and by the grace of Jeebus nobody intercepted those ridiculous wild throws he made. Tryin' to pitch to the sideline!!! WTF was that?!?! I don't understand this defending of mediocrity when we've accomplished so much more with far less.

Jake was the least of the problems today.. the very least.

Special Teams were terrible for the second week in a row.. the Defense was bad. we couldn't get off the field on third down.

The O-Line, Jake, and the running game all played very well today. Jake's "game-losing interception" wasn't that bad either.. he had no open receiver so he tried to force it to Steve. it was 4th down so he HAD to make a play.. and since no one was open, he had to force it.

I'm not saying I want Jake to be our QB cuz he has been shitty, but today wasn't bad at all...

He threw a game-losing interception. He sure is back in full-force!

he threw a int at 4 and 10 through prevent defense. how many QBs can convert. had the defense got a few more stops, we wouldnt have even been in the position to have to go for it. Jake did alot for this team today, cant say the same for the defense.

The bar is set lower for Jake Delhomme than any other starting QB in the league. If he doesnt throw 4 INTs he had a good game. LOL.

WOW all that is pure ridiculousness.

Jake looked GREAT. Can't be mad about the INT. The coaches wanted to go for it, it was 4th and 10, the defense knows what's coming, and of course we're gonna look for Smitty. Jake spread the ball around, actively progressed through his reads and made some of his most accurate throws I have EVER saw him make.

I think I've already come to terms with the fact that we most likely won't be in the playoffs this year. ATL and NO are both 2-0 now. While I'm not overly impressed with ATL and feel we'll win that rematch @ home, 0-2 holes are hard to climb out of... Especially when you plug up one leak and 3 more spout off...

But, apparently this year, the offense and defense will take turns blowing the game for us.

Jake is not "back". Jake has always been here. The same inconsistant QB as always. He's up and down from game to game. Yes he played a decent game today, but if the Atlanta defenders didnt drop 2 easy INTs we would be singing a different tune. For a bright spot, at least his poor decision making improved some. Can he keep it up? I doubt it.

Im starting to think Fox is the one controlling the defense. We're still playing the same "bend but dont break" crap that kills us time and time again. Our secondary looks like a high school varsity squad. Our corners are still giving too much cushion. Godfrey and Teal are crap.

Special Teams are still terrible as always. The only reason Crossman still has a job is because Mark Jones saved his ass last season. Crossman needed to be gone years ago, but somehow still seems to hang on with us.

Fox's poor game management was in full speed today. You have 2 damn timeouts before the half, but you don't take one till two seconds left in the game. Then at the end of the game, he doesn't choose to kick a field goal that wouldve gotten us closer and wouldve given us more time on the clock after the defense gives us the ball back.

    • Not saying he should be 1st round, but Kyle Kennard is being WAY overanalyzed. At 6-5 260 he won the Nagurski, SEC defensive poy, all american, for those who are unifamiliar. His weaknesses aren't so bad that he should be like 20th among D ends lol. Could he use more pass rush counters, sure, but his fball IQ is better than half these ends i've watched. He's skilled with his hand placement and punch which is important, that's the first thing guys like Belichick look for. I think he can be stiff at the top of the rush, but his lateral movement is better than a lot of the guys I watched. He always found ways to be disruptful, he's craftier and more quick twitch than the testing numbers might say. Takes Great pursuit angles and is good in space when it becomes a broken play. A lot of ends I watched were lost once the ball got outside of the tackle box. I think a predictor of success at this level too is love of the game, and he's a fball guy. "Want to" and relentless coupled with technique win when it comes to DLine play, you can see it with Clowney, when he wants to flip the switch  he can, KK always has his switch on.
    • As a Panther fan, we want him to stay.  It means more lust for the QBs picking before us.  We need Sanders going top 5.
    • I will start.  Please do not copy my ideas.  Reminder:  I SUCK at picking QBs, a tradition upheld since 2010. Aaron Rodgers___New York Giants__ Kirk Cousins*____will not be traded until after draft Sam Darnold __Minnesota Vikings (do not rule out a sign and trade) Justin Fields __Pittsburgh Steelers_ Russell Wilson Las Vegas Raiders So after these guys are signed in free agency, the following teams will need a QB entering the draft:   Cleveland NY Giants  (Signed Rodgers but might draft a QB too on day 2) NY Jets New Orleans Indianapolis Tennessee If my predictions are correct(?) two to three QBs could be available for trade.    Cousins could go to Indy, following the exit path for discarded Falcons QBs.  Tennessee will have to pick Ward and they should, which puts Cleveland in a unique situation.  I think the Jets, Raiders (if they don't sign Russell), and Saints will go hard after Sanders, and they will offer Cleveland a lot. Cleveland could move back, grab a bunch of draft capital, draft the T they need, and then they could draft a QB later--it all depends on how much they like Sanders.  The Saints have no cap room (-$44m), so a trade with Minnesota or Atlanta is out.  Moving up to #2 from #10 is expensive in terms of draft capital.  Suck it, Saints. They will have to stay with Carr.  I think that the Jets will trade up with Cleveland to get Sanders and Cleveland will take a T and draft a QB later.  Do not be surprised to see a player like Daniel Jones in Cleveland on a one-year deal if they trade back.
