The reason EPL will always be better than La Liga

Prime example is distribution of revenue.  While in EPL every team gets almost identical amount, in La Liga, Barca and Real get almost 60% of total revenue.  With new TV deal in place, Arsenal earned a record £101M in 2016.

Real and Barca are the biggest clubs in the world. Sevilla, Valencia and Atletico are playing catch up but are gaining ground at a rapid rate. La Liga teams have owned EPL teams in European tournaments.

EPL situation was some what messy for the past few years.  I expect things to change with massive revenue inflow to EPL.  Especially with Madrid having financial issues as of recently.  If US continues to dump money into EPL, La Liga will be in the dust.  When shitty EPL team can afford to buy a star player for £50M.  That spells trouble for the rest of European leagues.

What financial issues? They just recently got approved to build a new stadium lol, and this win will likely add another 60m. Then there's the merchandise revenue (Madrid still leads the world in sales). If we've got financial issues, then so does Manchester United, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, etc.

The EPL has never struggled to buy a player for 50m. That isn't the issue at all. For all the physicality that the EPL is known for, the EPL is not as tactical as La Liga or even the Bundesliga. In addition, Spain along with Germany has more talent than England. That's why Sevilla, Atletico and Valencia are emerging out of the darkness.

Manchester City owner gave Real Madrid £350M for new stadium...  Because Real had no money for the stadium.

"Real need the outside investment due to debts amounting to £474m, according to their most recent financial accounts, meaning they could not afford to update the Bernabeu themselves."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2818845/Real-Madrid-strike-350m-deal-renovate-Bernabeu-ll-paid-Manchester-City-owner-Sheik-Mansour.html

Winner of CL gets additional £11M not £60M.

Valenicia and Atletico are not coming out of darkness... Showing your age here bud.  They used to be amazing teams 15 years ago until debt derailed them.

Unlike La Liga that usually a 3 team race, EPL is all team race.  Most EPL teams would rather flank CL than lose top 4.  I also disagree about the talent...  EPL by far has more talent than Spain or Germany.  Again, any EPL team can afford a super star.  You cannot say the same for any other league.

- Real didn't get 11m in 2014. They got somewhere in the range of 54.7m to 60.3m for the CL win. I could link you directly to the article stating so if I do some digging.

- That's funny considering Mallorca qualified a few seasons ago but fell off due to 15m in debt. Yet, Real apparently is 474m debt, but continue to buy players for about 80m and still qualify? Yeah, I'm not buying it. I'm addition, that Fly Emirates deal helped by 350-370m according to the reports and that's not even adding the new 'name' for the stadium which apparently add another 200-300m. Then there's the deal with Audi... I could go on. It appears Real's money troubles are greatly exaggerated.

- Since when? England can't hang with Spain, Germany, France or even Brazil. They flop at every major tournament. Spain had the Golden generation with Xabi, Puyol, Xavi, Ramos, Torres, etc. Now it's Germany with Lahm, Gotze, Ozil, Hummels, Reus, etc. I'm talking about domestic talent, not imported talent. Again, there's a reason why teams like Sevilla are becoming powerhouses. Coaching is only part of it, Spain is overflowing with talent.

- Well, it's Real, Barca, Bayern... and then the rest of the world in terms of talent (with the exception of maybe Chelsea). If these squads were in the EPL, then teams like Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham wouldn't even sniff a league title. The gap is that big at the moment.

Google is your friend.  I know it hurts you to admin that EPL is the richest, most world popular and boasts the most talent than any other league.

You can also find CL payouts on UEFA website.  Winner of CL gets €15M and loser €11M.  You must be confusing it with total payout for CL participation.

Also, Manchester United is £500M in debt and still spend £150M each year on new transfers. Chelsea is £800M in debt and does the same.  I don't know much about Mallorca and there is nothing on Google.  I'm not sure if you mean Mallaga? A team that ran out of money and failed to pay taxes and salaries.

Oh no, I definitely concede on that part. The EPL is richer and more popular, but that's exactly why it's viewed as extremely overrated by most hardcore fans. La Liga is a three horse race but two of the world's top three teams reside there.

Perhaps but I'll post the article when I find it. I remember 60m was awarded or something a couple days after the 2014 UCL final.

Well, that's the thing. If these clubs are in this much debt, then how are they operating at such high capacity legally? Of course, I'm willing to bet that these clubs are doing a lot of backdoor deals that make these clubs look like corporate banks instead of athletic institutions.

English clubs owned by billionaire investors while clubs like Real and Barca are not.  English clubs can pull billions out of thin air while Barca and Real highly dependent on TV deals, tax breaks and other operating income.  For instance Manchester City owned by Monsour £20B worth, Chelsea by Abramovich £12B worth, Arsenal got two owners Stan Kroenke (Rams and other franchises owner) £8B worth and Usamov (richest Russian businessman and Putin friend) £15B worth, Manchester United is part publicly traded on stock market and part owned by Tampa Bay owner who owns multiple sport franchises, Liverpool owned by the company that owns Red Sox.  I can go on and on but I'm sure you got the point.  EPL can buy Messi and Ronaldo if they wish but Barca and Real refuse to sell them because they sell jerseys and generating much needed revenue.  I mean, Manchester City just gave Real £350M for shits and giggles...

La Liga sets its top teams up to succeed in Europe. It's much less physically demanding league play and there are really only 3 teams worth a flying fug. They can literally play their B squad like 15 matches in the league and still win 3-0. Or start their top XI and just casually knock the ball about en route to a 4-0 win. The wear and tear of a season in the Premier League is considerably greater than that of a La Liga season.

tell that to PSG. You have a point but I think teams in easier leagues also suffer from the lack of quality domestic competition between UCL/UEL fixtures.

I obviously have no dog in this fight but I have to go with La Liga here.  It does pain me to say it because there really is no team from Spain that I like while BPL has several, but the results are there.

In the last three season, only one team has successfully knocked one of their top three out of UCL (Juvenile over Real last season).  Hell Atletico is the only one to knock out Barca and Real is the only one to knock out Atletico.  Nobody from another league can touch them.  Since the treble I have watched Bayern reach the semis each of the past three seasons, only to be knocked out once by each of them.

Meanwhile, their second line so to speak is continuously performing well in Europa.  These are teams that cannot sniff the jocks of the big three.

Bundesliga outperforms BPL at the top shelf (14/15 to the group stage the last four years) but BPL definitely is deeper after that, but at this point La Liga is the top.

It will not stay that way forever, and who knows how long it lasts, but right now we are chasing them.

And this proves La Liga is better than EPL how?  Did you read other people comments?

PSG's team just isn't that good. Sure, they run riot through Ligue 1, but that's a poverty league. Place PSG in th EPL and they are fighting for 4th.

    • Keeping him another season or two and drafting his eventual replacement within that same time frame would be the ideal scenario.
    • Black bears can get above 1,000....but most of the biggest ones are around 500LBs. It depends on the food source, like if you give a bear access to a dumpster full of honey buns, its going to get in the 1,000 range easily. Brown or grizzley bear to be more correct, they can reach 1,700 LBs and you are a goner if you meet one. They are much aggressive than polar bears Polar bear can reach 2,200 LBs again depends on the food supply. If you meet one, you better hope its full and that's your only chance to live. There's a saying- "If it's brown, lay down. If it's black, fight back. If it's white, goodnight” It's best chance if the bear is full of food and its not a mama with her young.   Short story- I had surgery in OK and rehabbed in Aspen CO. One day, mid-day to be more correct, a older women was screaming and running towards me. She begged me to help help her dog and told me it was just around the corner and down a back alley. My NC country ass didn't think twice and jogged over to alley and..... Welp...... there was a 250-350 Black bear with the dog cornered...... So I remember the bear saying(If it's brown, lay down. If it's black, fight back. If it's white, goodnight) puffed up and raised my hands high and did my my screaming, gunting, and yelling..... and by the gods wishes the bear got scared and ran off. Grabbed the little fart of dog and handed it back the owner.
