Talkin about malt liquor... what y'all know about them King Cobras

Lol I used to drink that poo when I was a broke youngin.  Would get a few 6 packs of the tall boy cans for like 2 to 3 dollars per 6 pack.  Man... those were some rough ass morning afters.  The price of bottom of the gutter budget drinking I guess.

yeah nothing like going to the convenience store and buying king cobra and olde english with pocket change

to this day the worst hangover i've ever had was the morning after going through a sixer of steel reserve when i was a freshman in college

Scotch is meant to be room temp. Cold is meant to cover flavor, that's why these American lagers advertise "we brew at absolute zero and serve it in a cup made of dry ice."

Drink your scotch room temp, and if you need to water it down, just put a splash of water instead of ice cubes.

that or a single ice ball. nothing destroys good scotch like floating ice, but if you want it chilled a golf ball sized ice ball will cool it down but dilute at a significantly slower pace.

but i have no idea why anyone wouldn't drink it neat.

Holy poo Steel reserve is terrible. I remember buying a twelve and three single cigs from that citgo on Howard street in Boone back when they sold single cigs for a quarter. Worst hangovers ever.

I was walking back up the hill to my buddies place and this old dude walking down noticed the twelver. On the box is "211." He screamed at me and my friend "have two and you'll be out by 11!!!"

im surprised I survived college.

Damn, you and London67 bringing back the Boone memories for me.  My worst hangover ever was when I thought I was dead after a night of playing cards as a freshman in someone's apartment, I think in meadowview, downing Big Gulp-sized cups of Fruit Punch Gatorade and vodka.  To this day, I can't hardly even look at that red Gatorade, and that was 23 years ago.

If I learned anything in college, it's that being reckless with that poo can kill you.  But I learned and stuck to Busch Light until I graduated a healthy young man.

But yeah, I would have been the permanent DD before turning to Mich Ultra.

I used to drive back from Greenpark Inn in blowing rock all the way home to Boone multiple times a week because I wanted to go to the liquor bar. Oh the days before liquor by the drink.

God I was an idiot.

I was lucky the liquor license stuff passed before I turned 21.

So many DUIs given from blowing rock to Boone because of that.

Do they still make Mad Dog 20/20?

How about Boone's Farm Strawberry Hill?

Bojangles Peach Wine?  (Maybe that one was only a Southern thing, I'm not sure.  And, no, it had absolutely NO association with our present beloved Bojangles... lol.)

i fuging love green man porter

There are very few porters I find that I don't like.

More accurately, zero thus far.  But, yes indeed, some are better than others.  As far as I know, Green Man hasn't made it this far South yet.
