LOL.  No worries, I'm done reminiscing for the day!

Considering the type of poo posting that goes on around here, especially during the off season, I think you are allowed to go off topic whenever you want to, since the other 6,495 posts you've made were probably all legitimate, on topic and well thought out, what with your deep break down of the stats concerning our Carolina Panthers.

When I come home cold and tired, it's good to warm my bones beside the fire.  Far away across the field, the tolling of the iron bell, calls the faithful to their knees to hear the softly spoken magic spells.

Ahhh, I get it.  Because I went to State and don't think Boston is already a Pro Bowl player, I'm a hater. Despite the fact I already admitted I was wrong ITT about the penalties, hoped he would pan out, and said he's got potential. But hey...Carolina players.

FWIW, he's only committed two penalties in his NFL career.  He does need to grow up some, but most young guys do.  Sounds like he has the right mindset now, so maybe he's taken that step.  He's fine athletically, we just have to see how smart he is now, regarding the game itself.

3rd year is often when a lot of players (especially those drafted in mid/later rounds) come into their own. I think Tre will definitely be playing with a chip on his shoulder this season, and will surprise a lot of people.

I agree.  I mentioned that yesterday, in the Coleman thread.  Kind of the same discussion going on in both.

If you're going to see an up-swing, it will likely be this year.  Year three is usually when it starts clicking for most players.  His comments indicate that he has a better understanding, of what he needs to do to be a starter on this team.  That's part of a mental maturation process, a lot of these guys have to go through.  It's a good sign.  Seeing how it translates to the field is the biggie.

It is.  Matter of fact, his two career penalties were both committed in the Super Bowl game.  A blindside block on a punt return, and an unsportsmanlike penalty after a pass play.

I remember those penalties, and both were questionable as hell.
