Boston reminds me of Norman in some ways. Athletic and smart but wasn't working hard enough in the film room or on technique for him to show it on game day. He has certainly shown flashes, so I have high hopes for the kid.

he showed flashes of greatness at UNC.....but then showed flashes of WTF was that.....

Not trying to nitpick, but I was under the impression that Norman studied film with the best of them. He just wanted to do things his way---freelance too much out there when he first became a pro---somewhat refusing to listen to his coaches. I would guess that you're right about his technique, because you certainly can't refine that without listening to the coaches.

I never got that impression from Boston.

I think our system is FS friendly, both Mitchell and Coleman had solid numbers here while they were/are average starters out there. Thomas DeCoud didn't get those numbers tho, but I'd say Tre have a fair shot to be a legit FS for us.

When I'm tired and thinking cold, I hide in my music, forget the day

Wow.... I don't know how long it's been since I've heard this song.  I totally destroyed my LP from overplay.

And so, I just listened on YouTube ... nearly 53 MILLION views of this song.  WOW!!!!  Can't remember seeing any YouTube song video with a higher play count.

I guess those of us of a certain age still can't get enough of Boston.  There's something to feeling like I'm 13 all over again...

I hope he pans out...but a nice fluff piece isn't helping my faith in the position. Hopefully he cuts out the dumb penalties and grows up a little, because he could be a decent player behind our front 7.

OH LOOK

A state "fan" talking out of his ass about a UNC player. Know what the hell you are talking about before you open your mouth.

On a side note, it's going to be hilarious when that Turk signee you have coming in next year is ruled ineligible and can't play.

Hey all, please forgive the off-topic comment, but the comments about the song "More than a Feeling" by the group Boston from the 1976 self-titled debut album reminded me about one of my favorite things about life in Charlotte in addition to the Panthers and the Huddle, and I thought I'd share for CLT-area folks who might not know about this great perk of our tax dollars.

For anyone in possession of a Charlotte Meck library card, you can get 5 totally free and legit music downloads EACH week.  Songs you own with no DRM.  Huge selection to choose from, from the entire Sony music catalog and tons of offshoot labels...  It's a service called Freegal.  (You can also stream 3 hours of music free PER DAY)

And yes, Boston's album Boston is included!  (So is Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline.....)

So... for those of you wanting some great free music, there you go.

Maybe the stadium can fire up some Boston licks whenever Tre makes a great play this coming season...

I have no idea why I had never thought to check if Boston was included in the Freegal downloads.   Somehow this awesome album had just totally slipped my mind since I started using Freegal about 18 months ago.  I know what songs I'm going to be downloading this weekend!

So, upon further reflection..... What about the song "Smokin" as an anthem for any time Tre gets an interception...

Smokin', Smokin'
We're cookin' tonight, just keep on tokin'
Smokin', Smokin'
I feel alright, mamma I'm not jokin', yeah.

Get your feet to the floor, everybody rock and roll
You've got nothing to lose just the rhythm and blues, that's all, yeah
We're gonna feel ok
We'll pick you up and take you away
Get down tonight.

[....]

Everyone's jumpin', dancin' to the boogie tonight
Clap your hands, move your feet
If you don't you know it won't seem right
We're gettin' down today
We'll pick you up and take you away
Get down tonight

We're gettin' down today
We'll pick you up and take you away
Get down tonight, well alright!

OK @KB_fan step away from the Spotify or whatever. :)

Also anything from the band Boston reminds me of the Red Sox and the Patriots. Both of those are things I don't like being reminded of existing. Unfortunately that whole Sweet Caroline thing also reminds me of it and I cringe a little inside every time but I can't set all the world's wrongs right.
