MLS 2016

Watched the "New York Derby" on Saturday. Truly embarrassing for NYCFC. Almost as embarrassing as their sad little pitch at Yankee Stadium.

Philadelphia and Colorado both sit at the top of their respective conferences. It's like Bizarro MLS.

I'm a casual MLS fan. I usually just watch the 4 minute highlights packages on YouTube. This was the first match this season I've watched live.

My biggest problem with MLS is the atmosphere. For example, no matter how good the Chicago Fire ever get, they'll always be the 6th most important team in that town. So, in the bigger markets, it's more like a minor league baseball atmosphere. Quite a comedown after watching the PL for 10 months.

Every year I tell myself I need to get into MLS, but I never do. Maybe I'll try this year.

Same here, I just do not have a connection to any team and when I have no rooting interest then I do not care.

    • I just switched to prime video with fanduel south. Will I be able to watch the Canes playoff games still?
    • I mean, you can use that "logic," but the problem is that most practice squad players, backups or average guys don't put the play on film that Wharton did when given their opportunities.  Perhaps you'll end up right, but I don't think that just because a guy has been in a rotation makes him inherently less productive because he gets more snaps. I will say that the KC fans I've seen on social media loved him, and considered him their second best DT,  regardless of his "rotational" status, and generally considered him a dawg, so I'm going to give him the benefit of doubt until he shows otherwise.
    • Did I miss something?  The people we have developing players now are not the ones we've had in the past so I don't know what the heck people are talking about when they say we are not good at developing players right now.  We only have one year to go on.  Canales likes young players or players who are on an upward trajectory, especially in FA this year.  Past QB's and what he's done with Bryce are good examples. Tershawn Wharton - 26 Tre'von Moehrig - 25 Pat Jones II - 26 Bobby Brown III - 24 Michael Jackson - 28 Jaycee Horn - 25 Tommy Tremble - 24 We missed on Milton Williams but he's 26. Everyone else we picked up are on 1 year deals.  The Panthers new front office and Canales absolutely scream developmental team. Pick 8 (stay) Tier 1 Elite - Abdul Carter, Travis Hunter and Mason Graham Tier 2 Elite - Jalon Walker, Mykel Williams, Will Johnson Trade down: There are quite a few really good players that fit us at Edge, DT, S and WR mid to late 1st and high 2nd.  Some combos that would be possible that I really like.  Imagine getting 2 of these guys by trading down. Stark, Pierce Jr, Golden, Scourton, Grant, Emmanwori, Ezeiruaku, Umanmielen, Deone Walker, Harmon and this is just off the top of my head.
