Comfortable with running backs?

At any rate, Stew and his contract will be off the books this year,  right? That money could go to a successor. Tbh I was hoping we would be in the Lamar Miller hunt but,  maybe someone tough with top end speed might become available

Stew has 3 more years on his contract (including this year).

He's a $9.55M hit this year, an $8.25M hit next year, and a $2.5M hit the year after that.  If he performs this year as well or better than he did last year, it wouldn't surprise me to see the Panther's ride the contract out at this point.

Agree, Stewart is probably one of  the more underrated players by the Huddlers. Its going to be hard to find a RB of his talent who can play power, zone, read option, and superb pass protection skills.

It isn't the fact that Panthers fans think Stewart is no good they just think he gets injured way too often and they are right. If he was healthy most of the time I doubt many would doubt his ability to be the lead running back.

Am I the only one who thinks Wegher has a chance to be a really good pro??? He may he my most aticipated young player to watch this camp, can't wait to see how he's progressed with a full year under his belt.

No you aren't. Otherwise they wouldn't have protected him by stashing him on the roster. I well remember his college highlights and he did pretty well in preseason. I'm pulling for him.

He had 1 fumble and is a rookie. I don't see that as having issues

But...compared to zero, that is too many. Fans just expect the players to be perfect. Is that too much to ask?

Personally, I thought Cap played well in his limited action. I am comfortable waiting to see if there is growth over off-season. If there is, we are the better for it. If there isn't, darn it to heck why not?
