Netflix is only 10 bucks a month. Don't expect full access cable.

You can find enough free stuff on Roku to keep you entertained, if you try.

Agreed.  Also the David Attenborough stuff is fantastic.

I just wanted to jump in here and say that if you're only using the Netflix interface to browse for material, you aren't going to find a lot. Netflix only shows you two things: what it really wants you to watch, and what it thinks you will watch.

Instead, get on a PC and google "Netflix url by genre" to get more complete listings. http://mashable.com/2016/01/11/netflix-search-codes/ is an example.

Good info there^. I've never experimented with this, but I've got a friend who sets his Netflix to different countries and you get a lot more options. He's able to watch the current season of Peaky Blinders for instance right now, and I know he's even gotten some HBO shows (somehow) through Netflix in different countries.

They're a company. You think they just want to get shows out there and be one with the people? They want to end cable, and if it weren't for Hulu and Amazon, have a monopoly on streaming.

So every business is greedy because they make a profit? Also they want to end cable because they bring a better product?

I seriously think netflix is trying to have only netflix original content in a few years which in my opinion is going to be their downfall.

I really don't think it's a bad idea to bring back shows and have original content. Hollywood is really delusional about how much there products are worth.

Yes, all businesses are greedy. Their purpose is to make money. And them bringing a better product is very subjective.

Well, this is a pretty big deal Netflix officially announced today. Literally and figuratively.

Beginning in September, Netflix will be allowed to stream all Disney films — including Marvel, Pixar, and Lucasfilm titles

- In the same window that they'd typically be made available to HBO, Starz, and other paid TV networks. That's still after the Blu-ray and digital releases, but it's much, much sooner than the long and often unpredictable wait that Netflix customers had to put up with before. All Disney films released theatrically in 2016 and beyond are included in the agreement, for which Netflix is reportedly paying hundreds of millions per year.

Netflix is only great b/c I have two small kids.  They have lots of junk on there.

If you lean toward movies over TV shows I think HBO Now has better movies....and the you get all there original TV as bonus.

I got an email today saying this:

NetFlix media blog

So I guess no more "Disney Movies Anywhere".

No more Disney movies on other streaming providers outside of Netflix from 2016 and beyond. Including any Disney company owned subsidiaries. This is HUGE for Netflix. Dvd's, Blue Ray and the like will still be available.
