Well cool. I guess it's neat being able to create your own narratives to validate your position. The rest of us will just have to live in reality.

oh please. You're making a reflexive panic reaction because you think Gettleman is under attack and are dishing out the generic inter-sults.

Ron openly admitted that he "was going to have to trust Dave on this one."

If you're so thin skinned, and i know many here are but I don't expect you to be, that you can't deal with the reality that there is dissension in NFL front offices between employees then you're the delusional one. Not anybody else.

Many here can't come to grips with that reality because it obliterates the whole "trust the experts! Don't discuss anything!" narrative that is so heavily relied upon to deter any uncomfortable questions if you concede that the experts have opinions just as varied as this board.

Dave recently brought up his affinity for Edmund Kugbila, after admitting in post draft presser that year that there were differing opinions on him but he made the final call (though he didn't say who was on which side then)

How do we explain this away? We've got to preserve the illusion that everything affiliated with our favorite team is completely ideal, regardless of how unreasonable or insane it sounds.

I watched the pre-draft presser with Dave & Ron.  Ron did not look angry or sound upset about Josh.  Come on folks, he's "stoic Ron" - he looked the same way in that press conference (hands crossed across his chest) that he looks in games, whether we're up by 20 or down by 20.

People trying to read something into Ron's demeanor in that press conference are definitely stretching things.  Ron admits it was Dave's decision ultimately, but they talked through it.  It's not like it was something sprung on Ron.  Together they weighed options and Gettleman made the final call.  Not saying it's what Ron would have done if he were left to his own devices, but all evidence points to a very solid communication process and evaluation process and shared decision process between DG & Ron.  Ron trusts Dave.  Those were his EXACT words in the press conference if I recall.  I see no evidence that they were said in anger or passive aggressive or anything like that.  I take it as the truth until there is clear evidence to prove otherwise.  Right now all there is is speculation.

There will always be differing opinions within the team but until proven otherwise you are creating your own narrative and fiction. There is no direct evidence to support your position other than your own supposition. Fact.

I'm not saying its not possible but I'll refrain from preaching it as gospel so long as the only basis is your own conviction.

Nobody is contending that Ron sends his wife texts about how much he hates Dave's shorts.

We're saying that given Ron's immediate response in the moment, it can be reasonably inferred he wasn't on board with the decision.

As happens in every office all across the world every single day.

Saying "I'm trusting Dave on this"  is strong enough evidence to spur on the reasonable belief that it was primarily Dave Gettleman's decision.

"The more I thought about the tag the less I liked it" seems like a fairly strong indicator as well.

You poor short-sighted human. Your argument has been flawed from the prelude. Note the tone and action of the press conference of Ron.

A dog would be able to clearly note that Ron meant that in a non-aggressive manner. One would then conclude that Ron, and the organization as a whole, has respect for Dave Gettleman. This is reaffirmed in his rather recent broadcast involving Josh Norman. Ron has stated clearly he and Dave discussed the matter together, and the decision is something Ron respects.

Sure, silly banter from animals is quite expected from the ill-minded like you. Such arguments have persisted for quite a while. The narrative of "no one wants to play for the Panthers," or, "OMG Dave Gettleman didn't pay $999999999999 for some overrated player on the FA market omg we're gonna be trash."

Note how these arguments have been proven to be complete trash, due to the evidence of success ever since Gman entered the fold. Cap management has gone to a much better state, and our future as an organization is pulling in the right direction. Trolls like you have no conclusive evidence of long-term detrimental problems involved from Gettleman's management, since success is the catalyst that disintegrates this.

Your argument and agenda against Gettleman has proven to be silly time and time again. Nevertheless, I expect no change from you simpleton. Your arguments are much needed for a laugh on this forum. From a supposed fan, you're talking like we're about to fall as low as the Browns. That is very unlikely to happen.

You probably need to clean your pants.

The first.....possibly, but still requires your own conclusions to reach your position.

The second, at face value, states precisely that he began to second guess the wisdom of the tag on his own accord. To state otherwise is to inject your own bias into the conversation.
