Williams is a special teams ace. He'll make it as the 5th CB. McClain is gone. Lou Young to PS.

He's fast... and so, yes, we'd need to find another gunner.  But dang the guy had a lot of penalties.  I'd not mind replacing him.

Its going to be really interesting to see how the rookie CBs do. Hopefully they arent too much of a liability in the early games or they could picked on a lot .

There's a lot of Panther fans just assuming our pass rush is going to be really good because we got Butler and KK. We'll be in trouble if we got jack diddly coming from the edges and we get shredded through the air game after game. Who really do you think is our #1 DE? Kony had a great SB but that was 1 game. CJ had a decent playoff games but was a ghost during the regular season. We got some pretty good flashes from the young guys but really are they good enough to consistently pressure the QB?

The only real solid pieces we have on defense are the linebackers, DTs, and Coleman. Everything else is a questionmark to me.

He's also responsible for a number of good tackles on ST. He only sees the field on ST because he is ST ace.

Let's put this into perspective.  Mike Remmers was the most penalized player on our team, and he played 1,102 snaps.  12 penalties, totaling 75 yards.  Teddy Williams was the 2nd most penalized player on our team, and he played 325 special teams snaps.  8 penalties, totaling 82 yards.  Remmers was on the field over 3x more than Williams.  That's not ace territory.  His more of an idiot than an ace.  I don't want morons on the field making extremely costly mistakes, especially when their only contribution is 11 tackles in 19 games.

Maybe you remember Philly Brown's punt return in 2014?  Take a wild guess who the idiot was, that smashed Philly before the ball got there...

McClain is the only other CB with experience playing outside. It would be insane to cut him even though he wasn't that good. It could be much worse.

I can see McClain making it and Young making PS again.  I personally think that Young has more upside, but he's Basically a fourth rookie.   Bene and the rookies are locks.
