What are raspberries and curve balls?

I'm like 99% sure giving razzberries causes the curve balls, it happens to me RIGHT after.  I'm not sure they are really worth it, especially if you're using great balls+.

I haven't got any yet at level 7, maybe they come later...

More questions: XS vs XL, what do you guys choose?

Just went outside to the park near my job again, another Magmar!  Just 28cp though.  Uptown CLT, the green, that's where that thing spawns

I hit lucky egg out there (under a lured point) and evolved a bunch.  New beasts to collection:

Vaporeon - 1180

Vaporean - 987

Clefable - 809

Venomoth - 685

Like 4 Golbat's that are 750+ but I have so many don't want to list.

My friends are jealy and hate me but all I did was play and evolve right lol.

I got half way to level 19 doing those things.

I'm still skipping common CP's that are not green unless I'm over 100 pokeballs, then I'll try, or if I need something really bad to evolve, etc.

Could you explain the evolving process using the lucky eggs? What is the quickest way to gain XP?

Ok so Lucky Eggs increase EXP generation by 2x.   So hold off on evolves till you pop it and do a bunch.   If you can, do it when eggs are about to hatch as well as evolves.   Or even better, do it when on a lured checkpoint with incense on with eggs about to catch with a bunch of evolves lol.   Stack it as much as you can.

So when you evolve, it's 1,000 exp instead of normal 500.  If  your evolve is a pokemon you have never caught before, that means you get 2,000 exp (1k for evolve and 1k for new poke, usually it's 500 each without lucky egg).   I found this boosted pretty well, and if you catch stuff while it's up, that's 200 exp per catch min. and checkpoints are 100 each time too if you're there.

I personally haven't evolved much unless the original is over 50% of the CP curve, but that's preference I guess.  Unless it's rare and it's the highest you have (or just something uncommon to the areas you've been at).  I mean I've caught over 500 pokemon and haven't seen some that are common to others on Reddit, etc.

So yeah, basically lucky egg and then stack all the things you can do.  Remember evolves take like 20-25 seconds to do its thing, so don't spred yourself thin, evolves take precedence when egg is on (unless something rare needed caught around you!).   Also if you're like me, expect some freezing too.   You have 30 minutes with lucky egg so you can do some good exp boosting if you hold off on evolves till then.

I'm up 31 now. The highest level pokemon I got is a 274 Scyther. I'm still working on battling and evolving my pokemon. It's tough due to my hectic schedule but I'm slowly getting better. Any help would be great lol

There is one thing to realize on this game, some people will have advantages.  I work where I can hit a checkpoint at my desk most of the day and people keep luring it since I'm uptown, I can also hit a park in 5 minutes that is lured all the time, and another as well.   This happens so it's not a competition totally, you can't dictate your surroundings.  Some are close to gyms, live near points etc, or live near city/suburbs with points.  Hopefully they get that fixed up some.

Parks are a great place, I heard amusement parks as well and zoos.    It sucks for people that can't mass farm like me and some others (all I got was bats but hey, that's fine lol).

I think people can catch up though, at level 20 trainer I think others will catch up and it won't be a big deal.

Haven't done much today since I've been working from home all day and there's no Pokestop to constantly farm. Will get back to it tomorrow when I'm back at the office. Did manage to catch a pretty high 300's Pinsir a bit ago though.

Currently at level 13, have 3 pokeballs and about 25 great pokeballs. Thinking that unless they update pokestops or come up with something else to replenish pokeballs this might not be the game for me. No pokestops within 3 miles and none I can really farm at the office, so on off days I'd have to walk around downtown nearly every day which I'm not super interested in doing. The one that's about 3 miles away is a park and has 2 that are about a 5-10 minute walk from each other, so I would have to walk back and forth and figuring an average of 2 pokeballs per stop I would get around 24 pokeballs per hour. Ehhhhh.

Really hope they update to not make it so skewed towards people who live next door to pokestops.
