Never mind. For some reason my account wasn't the default and they signed me into an old email account and thus created a new character.

New update is solid. I feel like they improved the graphics during catch sequences. Looks glossier. Also, now you actually get curveball bonuses for curveballs. Nerfed Vaporeon, thank god, and they sort of balanced out attacks so you have to actually dodge some to win gym battles rather than spam your quick attack.

Ability to customize your avatar is nice. Surely they'll roll out more options with that over time.

Game runs smoother it seems. Phone doesn't heat up as much and I think the battery drain went down slightly since they completely disabled the tracking system.

91 here. Just spent a week at the beach in SC. There were no Pokemons at all. It was sort of refreshing.

The gyms around me are already being maxed out with max cp Pokemon. Gyms are becoming kind of meaningless.

Oh and I'm only 28 magikarp away from gyarados.

i'm half way to level 29, gets pretty slow.  I think I'm like 115 or something on pokedex.  I'm really close to evolving Gengar, Abra (all three), Golem, and a few others, just been waiting on good base ones to evolve from.

Finally evolved first Golem (1750) and first Machamp today (2042).   Goal now is Gengar (20 candy away), Muk (20 candy) and Abyra to full (only 9 away).

I invited my brother in law and his girlfriend to a vacation and paid for the whole trip in full...  All they did is play this fuging Pokemon game.  Both in early 30s... What the actual fug?

Because a lot of the pokemon are region specific so they probably were finding a bunch of junk they don't at home

We stayed in a resort...  They would just open a door and go collect pokemons every hour.  It was annoying as hell.

It's funny you mention Dragonite. My daughter who is lvl 7 has only caught 25-30 unique Pokemon...one of them is Dragonite. I haven't even seen one. Hers was a random spawn.

So the new buddy system is coming out soon. This should help the game a lot going forward.
